Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 25, 2008 On tap at my house... I thought I rated this one a while back, but I guess not. Pours pale gold in color with a lively white head. Highly carbonated. Aroma is of tart peaches with a hint of yeast. Taste tart with peaches, lemon citrus, and an underlying yeastiness. My best Festina Peche was served though a Randall with peaches and apples(I think) at Belgium comes to Cooperstown Festival. Vey nice Berliner Weisse. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 24, 2008 Light yelow in color the beer poured a thick head of fine bubbles that dissipated leaving some light lacing. The nose showed off peach/apricot, lemon peel and a touch of spice. In the mouth it was tart and showed off underripe peach and lemon. This is a fermented drink but does not taste like "beer". ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a medium sized rocky white head. Aroma is tart peaches, lemon zest, apples. Flavor is light grains, peach, lemon zest, orange. Palate is light bodies, medium carbonation, finishes tart and very refreshing. This is not too bad. matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jan 20, 2008 12 oz bottle from a trade with ughsmash. pours hazy yellow with a slight orange haze. huge fizzy white head that leaves quickly and leaves no lacing. some carbonation with very big bubbles. aromas are apples with some peach. very sharp aromas that make your eyes open. flavours are light fruit which is overpowered by a very fizzy mouthfeel. would be thirst quenching but id say its the opposite of a session beer. im glad i had it but i dont think ill ever seek it out again. hey at least ive had a Berliner Weisse now. topherbooth (5), USA does not count Jan 20, 2008 Very unusual, but a perfect beer for a summer day or with a light meal. Citrus flavors abound, and obviously quite a lot of peach. Also, hints of tarragon and vinegar. Love it or hate it... I love it. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jan 19, 2008 Clear pale yellow that tuns hazy with the yeast shot. Bight white head on top. The aroma is lightly sour and smells amazingly like fresh peaches. There is also some biscuit character. The taste has a very tart taste of lemon juice with some metal in the finish. I could not taste the peaches. There is some baking soda to the sour finish. I find this a little one dimensional in the flavor department, but it is light and palate cleansing. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jan 17, 2008 Couldy pale yellow pour with a thin white head. Peachy, sour malt aroma. tangy and tart peach flavor with a crisp, citrusy finish. Interesting. BleacherBum (176), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA Jan 16, 2008 I’m a sucker for this style on a warm/hot day. Cloudy, straw color. Typical berliner flavor with some extra sourness to the flavor (from the peaches, I assume). This is a great, low alcohol, session beer for those summer days. Fruity and dry (not sweet at all) with just the slightest hint of spicy hop. I wonder if Dogfish brought this wort to a boil or just mashed it (typical for this style). Thanks for an under consumed (and under appreciated) style of beer!
