SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Dec 17, 2007 Bottle, #336 Golden pour with huge white head. Only distinguishable aroma is peach, flavor of sour peach and something else. Definitely not something I would aim for again, but good to try. Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Dec 14, 2007 Bottle thanks to sercret santa. Aroma well sourer than expected, a true berliner weisse indeed! vrey peachy as it warms but the underlying sour lemoness dominates. Taste is again sour lemons the peach doesnt try to balance which i like insted just adds a different dimention. A great session ale, just what i wanted. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA Dec 13, 2007 12oz bottle hazy light looking beer aroma isnt all that great you can smell the peach but its in a way that just doesnt smell right. flavor is pretty good has a decent peach flavor but isnt to sweet tons of carbination to this one. pretty decent beer. Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Dec 12, 2007 Bottle. This brew poured a hazy pale yellow with a fizzy white head that was gone in about a minute. Nose was of sour peaches. Had kind of a tangy presence but was very clean and smooth. Different, good. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Dec 12, 2007 Pours with a really nice white head over a slightly hazy straw-golden body. Aroma of peaches. Simple and pure. Puckering sourness is a pleasant surprise. Flavor only whispers of peach. Clean finish. This is a style I am not yet accustomed to--I like it so far. Soft mouthfeel. Refreshing yet challenging at the same time. Good stuff. JLHop (12), USA Dec 9, 2007 Poured light with very little carbonation. Very strong flavor of peach, too much for me. Not my favorite from one of my favorite breweries. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA Dec 6, 2007 From a 12oz Bottle. Courtesy of CharlesDarwin. Pours a pale dandelion yellow color, mostly hazy, with a thin layer of small bubbled white foam. The peach notes come through softly in the nose, lying behind a grapey pinot grigio bouquet. Quite light and vinous, like a quenching summer wine. The wheat malt creamy characters come through as well, creating an additional level of aroma complexity. Light bodied, deceiving mouthfeel that’s both crisp with acidity and soft with wheaty malt. It’s actually very pleasing up front, with lots of acidic peaches softened by a nice, creamy wheat. Not overly sour or funky, allowing the lactic acidity to contribute mainly to the mouthfeel and refreshing drinkability. I was afraid this beer would be too peachy, but the fruit is actually not the focal point of the beer. Dry and refreshing. Like many DFH beers, an "imperial" rendition of the style, but unlike many other DFH beers, this actually works really well for me. This might be the best DFH beer I’ve had. Thanks, Tom! switzer (22), USA Dec 6, 2007 Definitely tastes like a Pinot Grigio, but heavier than one. I don’t mind the peach flavor, but I’m just not a fan of the low carbonated sour beers (lambic however). I felt like I was drinking a peach syrup. A good attempt, but not my favorite DFH beer.
