BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 20, 2007 Hazy lemon yellow body with white head. Nice light wheat body with faint peach character. Lightly sweet peach body with heavy carbonation that gives it a soda like feel that somehow works. Faint wheat character. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA Nov 20, 2007 The guys in DFH are insane. Who else would make a Berliner weisse style beer then add some fruit to it? Lactic fermentation adds a nice zing to the taste, peach is well done and not cloying. Really a tasty beer. I do have to applaud their efforts here going out on a limb with this one .. paid off. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 19, 2007 Translucent and pale buffered gold in color with rapid sand storms rising from the bottom to fuel a velvety white head. Aroma adheres to fresh, doughy pastries with mandarins and lemon chiffon accents hinting at a peach cobbler characteristic. A smidgeon of lemony, cotton like cleanser comes through the Splenda-esque peach yogurt nose. Flavor grants us a sour, peachy vanilla watermelon trait. Cleansing to the palate. Separated biscuit layers conjure the bakery intonations, along with a peach crepe coming apart into two camps: one of flaky crescent toppings, the other one of bakers dough with fruit sauce. Effervescent and medium bodied, fairly delightful to toss around the mouth, finishing with a tart lemon rosemary marmalade jam upon a peach cranberry bread. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 19, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a mildly clear, light yellow. Very little head, occasional bubble here and there. Slightly fruity aroma. The first sip really puckers the lips. Tartness tingles the tastebuds with a nice peach flavor, not too over the top, though. Finish is nice and clean. Interesting beer. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Nov 19, 2007 Nice hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. The head starts out insane, but fades very quickly in large bubbles - doesn’t look nice, but not horrible either. Aroma of peaches, malt, wheat, yeast, coriander seed and even a bit of concord grapes. Light-bodied; Very carbonated mouthful at first with potent and sour peaches complimenting the mild wheatiness coupled with yeastie flavours all with a bit of kick to them. Aftertaste shows the malt and sugars mixing together nicely, but all ends a bit short. Overall, a good beer, this is the first time i’ve had this style, but a good sweetness and sourness mix leaves a nice taste in the mouth. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Grape & Gourmet in Virginia Beach, Virginia on 18-November-2007. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Nov 17, 2007 Bottle from radiomgb, thanks Jeff. Pours a cloudy straw yellow, with white head. Tart peaches, grain, sweet malt, and a nice sour finish. Very tasty, refreshing, and enjoyable. Wish I had more of these, a great summer brew. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Nov 14, 2007 Bottle. Thanks to Jason (kramer17801) for this one. Pours a hazy very pale yellow color with a small white head. Fruity and slightly tart aroma with some weak hints of peaches. Tart fruity peach flavor with some fruity hints. Long sour tart finish. Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Nov 13, 2007 11/7/07 From the bottle. Aroma is sour, tart and fruity, with the peachy note lingering in the background. Appearance is clear straw with a low white head. Flavor is rough, very tart, with the peaches and grain oddly mashed together; quite sour, and not to its benefit. Mouthfeel is very spritzy and very thin, and seems highly attenuated. Overall, this is cool and complex, but the flavors are just too harsh to say it’s great.
