Peaches is about all I can say. I’m sure that helps. LOL. Heavily acidic with a nice sour pucker. Taste of peaches and little yeast. I would say too much like a wine cooler, but ok. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Pours cloudy straw, no head, no lacing. Intense aroma of wheat and peaches. Immediately sweet and tart on the tongue, not overly peachy at first but very sharp and intense flavor. Acidic. Peach flavor comes out in the sip and finishes slightly bitter. addictedavi (4), New York, USA does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Updated: Aug 30, 2009Pale and straw-colored when poured out of a 12oz bottle, slightly hazy, with a large, white, light head. The aroma is of peaches and wheat, very strongly of wheat actually. The taste begins sweet and malty but the tartness dominates throughout the middle and back of the palette. Definite peach flavor throughout. Mouthfeel is very light and the carbonation is not overpowering. The aftertaste is complex, turning from tart peach to wheat to sweet; it might be my favorite thing about this beer. It would go fantastic with food, I think. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Pours a very hazy, very pale, very yellow color with a very mall heady that is very fizzy, and goes away very quickly. Aroma is faint, but I really like what is there, plenty of fruit and yeast, some lemon rind. I love the flavor of this, slightly bready and yeasty, with a dominant sourness, the peach doesn’t get in the way of the other flavors one bit, it is very balanced in the mix but certainly noticeable lending a nice fruitiness, overall this is very tart and very refreshing. There are plenty of little bubbles which make the tartness really come alive on the tongue, and the palate is particularly full for a Berliner Weisse, or really any beer sitting under 5% abv. I enjoy this quite a bit. JesseM (664), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 12oz bottle at KW group tasting, thanks to Mat. This one pours a slightly hazy yellow with no head. The aroma is really nice, slight dank, sour green apples, white wine-like a Reisling kind of sourness. Flavour is even better, very puckering sour and fizzy upfront which makes way for some grainy sweetness. Lingering sweetness follows a nice acidic finish. I can’t make the call on how true to style this thing is but I really like it and am happy to have finally tried an example of a Berliner Weisse. FlemishChar (224), Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 22, 2009 I am a sucker for Berliner Weisse, and I love this rendition. No aroma, plain yellow color, but all the sourness and dryness that go with the style. If it was cheaper, I would swill it like frat boys on Natty Ice. BVery (461), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 22, 2009 BOTTLE: light yellow, semi-cloudy pour. Nose of peach, taste is very sour, peach, fizzy, and a very light palate. Someone just compared it to a wine cooler - I like that comparison. Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Bottle from Belmont State, OR. I went to this beer Mecca hoping to find a bottle of my old lover, Schultheiss Berliner Weisse. Alas, they had none, but an employee pointed me to this bottle. I was put off by the "peche" label but tried it anyway. Oh my, there’s that super-tart, high-pitched, tangy mouthfeel I was looking for! The peach flavor is extremely subtle, it really just gives the smallest touch of sweetness to balance out the sourness of the beer a smidge. This is the only American Berliner Weisse I’ve ever found, and I was so pleased I went back and bought a full four-pack. The ultimate summer beer? Maybe!
