| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Pours very light hazy yellow with a thick and soapy white head. The aroma is all about peaches - very natural smelling. Thin crisp grainy body with subdued sharp carbonation. The flavor starts quite sour, wheaty, grainy, dry peach and spices. The finish adds lemon-ish citric acidity and is very short lasting. This is a nice refreshing summer thirst quencher. patrick767 (2052), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 bottle from bdigi66 - Pours hazy light yellow with a thin head. The aroma is mainly sour fruit. The flavor is tart and yeasty. It’s a light and refreshing beer, but perhaps was too sour for what I’d reach for in a weisse. To be fair, it’s my first berliner weisse. Just two more new styles to try... cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Ok, I’ve been waiting a long time to try my first Berliner weisse, and finally I see one at my local beer store! And guess what? It’s affordable! Pop the lid and you get a small amount of fruitiness in the aroma. The look is that of an unfiltered wheat beer, cloudy and hazy vanilla yellow. Fruity yet not sweet, interesting tartness that I can appreciate. Seems to me this is more like a fruit flavored wheat than another style. At first the flavor is tart then that fades to a mild bitterness and that in turn fades to a sour candy palate that lacks any bitterness. Quite a complex development on the tongue. Very interesting and different. Enjoyable and refreshing, can appreciate this style. Good creamy carbonation. I have no other Berliners to compare this to. Overall, fun and easy to enjoy, glad I had a chance to try this. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Very light fruit aroma, sugared peaches.
Tart, a bit sour, but no real flavor here.
Sorry, I poured this one out.

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sour, tart and had a vague fruitiness and a bizarre element I could not quite identify but was not good. The flavor was tart, vinegary and tangy with no real fruit presence. The finish was long and tart. I did not like this as a fruit beer. I did not like this as a Berliner Weiss and as such this beer did not work for me on any level . | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Poured a pale yellow body with minimal fizzy white head. Nose of tart sweet peaches and reminiscent of sour peach candies. Great effervescent mouth feel, taste, and finish. Wonderfully crafted one-of-a-kind beer. Mmmm! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2007 12oz. bottle. Big pale, wheat grain nose, fruity, tart and citric with an abundance of lemon and only the slightest hint of peach, mingled with a fairly strong yeast presence and some floral touches. Cloudy light golden color with pale yellow highlights and a fading head. Flavor profile is fruity and citric, featuring an appropriately strong influx of tartness and acidity, drying considerably by the finish, which also features just a touch of the peach character. Palate is light, smooth and moderately low in effervescence with a light body. Interesting stuff. DaSilky1 (2031), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Pours an opaque school bus orange...just a thin ring of white suds manages to stick around long enough for me to notice. Nose is mostly peach with stale notes, sweet notes, and maybe a touch of tartness. Lactic sourness is extremely strong here, which is nice..the peach flavors are there, not too sweet, but nicely flavorful and sour. The berliner graininess behind everything is still strong enough to be noticed and compliments the sourness nicely. I feel as if the peach is getting in the way of something better...but will we ever know? I actually kind of dig it, though I love berliners...I just think the peach is a distraction.
