(5/13/08, Lupulin Reunulin) Small white head atop cloudy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, tart/sour peach, some cream. Taste is medium sweet, tart peach, some citric sourness, light lactic. Light-medium body, low carbonation, light acidity. (7/3/7/3/14)

(7/10/07, 12oz bottle) Medium white head atop murky cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, peach, lemon, some dusty corner, wheat. Taste is mild sweet, peach, lemon, light wheat, moderately tart/sour. Somewhat creamy light-medium body, fairly crisp/refreshing. I can’t say that I love this beer (though I do like it), but I love the idea of this beer -- it’s expressing DFH’s creativity by pushing the envelope stylewise rather than on making beers with ever more alcohol. Hazy pale yellow color, not much head. Sourish peach aroma. Sourish fruity flavor. Slightly metallic, a bit too watery. Sourish wheat beer ("berliner weisse") is on the base. Peach is not really dominating, more citrusy than peachy.

Bottle. Blonde, cloudy. Peach and lemon in the aroma. Sour, lemony flavor with canned peach. Not too sweet, the beer is well attenuated. Excellent balance between fruity sweetness and sourness. Nice one, though maybe not a world classic.

12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a light and hazy straw color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of peaches, green apples, and citrus. Tastes of the same with some funkiness and a nice sour and tart finish. This one was nice.

12oz bottle-pours a retaining foamy white head and cloudy straw color. Aroma is mild peach, wheat. Taste is mild peach/apple with a vinegar and cider-like character, wheat. Interesting. OK effervescence.

Quite authentic Berliner weisse outside the peaches. A small celery note accompanies the obvious, crisp tartness. Surprisingly not too lactic, but expressive wheat. Upon smelling though, peaches really dominate in a pretty juicy and pure fashion. In mouth, it feels more like a sorbet, very refreshing. Brief and quite dry finish after a sweetish introduction. Very competently brewed and a tremendous effort.
