Hazy cider-like body beneath a puny white head. Little peach in the nose. More lemon, yeast, wheat, and the air upon emptying a vacuum cleaner bag. Medoum body and fizzy. Acrid to the tongue. Unpleasant beer.

I always love my first experience with a new style, especially one as interesting as this. This beer pours a creamy orange color with a small bit of sediment and a pillowy white head. Small peachiness in the nose but peach is not really a strong fruit. Taste is something of a sour ale with a crisp bite on the tongue and a mouthful of carbonation. It finishes with a champagne like dryness.

Not having ever had a Berliner weisse to my recollection, I have no base standard of measurement. But I must say that this one is growing on me. A thick lively yeasty body that’s crisp and refreshing on its own, the nicely sour addition of the peach concentrate makes this very quirky and thirst-quenching. I’d like a bit more of a spice profile, I think, something a bit dry just to take the mouth-puckering edge off. Still, I’m pleasantly surprised.

I’m not impressed with anything on this beer. The aroma smells like dishwater, taste is too tart for quality drinking enjoyment. Mild flavors of Peach is there yet not overwhelming

Tap @ Cole’s. Cloudy milky yellow, thin head. Nose is faint lemon, faint wheaty malt, a hint of blueberry, maybe some bread. Flavor is lactic wheaty lemon. Some tart fruit (an unidentifiable berry) gets stronger towards the finish. Very refreshing - probably more interesting than the Kindl which was my only previous Berliner Weisse. A bit more wheat in the finish leading into dough & lemon zest.

Bottle from kmweaver. Holy shit. An unfiltered Dogfish Head, what is the world coming to? Hazy very pale body with a small white head. The aroma is light lactic, lots of bread, cobwebs and plenty of apricots. The flavor is moderately tart, very grainy, canned peaches and yogurt. Light bodied with moderate carbonation and a bit of a watery texture, but not as bad as DFH usually is. All that said, this is a decent attempt at the style and an interesting take at that.

Tasted 10/22/07. 12oz bottle. Hazy and sedimented with a golden hue. Tight ring of white head. Musty citrus and orange aromas. Touch grainy. Bitter acidic and totally peachy. Musty and grassy. Yeasty and citrus. Big effervescence. Orange and lemon flavors. Tangy with a ton of layered fruity flavors. Lingering tart acidity. Vinegar and candy. The peachy flavors only accentuate the overall palate. Tasty.

Bottle. Cloudy wit-like yellow body. Acidic wheat and peach aroma with a very refreshing dry, tart wheat flavor with just a nuance of peach - nothing overbearing. Very quaffable, refreshing stuff.
