short and quick thin white head. cloudy golden yellow body. aroma is under-ripe and tart white peaches in early spring. flavor is light, tart, stone fruits, and a bit astringent. an unusual anise flavor in the aftertaste. peachy-white under-ripe tartness in the finish. thanks Paul!

12oz bottle. Hazy straw gold color with nary a head and gentle carbonation. Aroma is sharp wheat, yeast, some funkiness, and a bit of lactic sourness. The aroma is mild. The taste is fruity upfront with a subtle peachiness and some barnyard funk, followed by some tart acidity that lingers into the finish. The sourness is not over the top, but present. On a whole, it is a restrained beer. Tasted cool it is seemingly simple, but as it warms, it gains some character. Easy to drink on a nice day, a nice fuitiness, a slight sourness and funkiness, and not a lot of alcohol.

12 oz bottle 7/1/07: Light yellow, hazy body w/ a lasting, but thin white head. Lighty tart & musty aroma w/ a light grainy malt. You need to look/smell for the peach as it is not really strong. Also a little acetic w/ some green apple notes. Flavor is milldly tart & crisp up front w/ hints of peach mid palate and into the finish. Not a whole lot of the grainy malt flavor, at least less than in the aroma, and has a tart, dry, refreshingly crisp finish. Lighter body, high medium carbonation, dry m/f. Okay beer, goes well w/ grilled shrimp & shrimp cocktail. Nicely used fruit in this one, not overdone, and adds a very nicel little comlexity.

12 oz bottle. Or three 12 oz bottles from New Beer Distrubutors in NYC. Put the bottles in some ice to get cold. Aroma is peach and citrus (lemon). Taste is sweet but not like a fruit beer, more constrained with some tartiness. This beer was very smooth and refreshing. Great!

11/10/08 notes: bottle, from Bob’s Package in CT. Pours extremely pale, with scant head. Aroma is very corny, with hay and sugar. Not unlike natural light, and yes, that is an insult. Flavor was refreshingly tart, a crisp, green apple, lemon, peach profile with little discernable hops or malt. Thankfully, the grain in the nose did not show itself in the body. Finishes dry, which of course accentuates the tartness of the flavor. Nevertheless, I’d say Festina Peche is an experience I would deem rather uncomfortable.

Shockoe festival Richmond VA-Draft: Peaches and cream aroma. Cloudy whitish yellow color, no head. Very sour flavor of peach, lemon, and persimmon. Enjoyable.

Slightly cloudy yellow body with a small ring of white foam on top. Aroma is slightly fruity. Flavor is tart and fruity, although not really peachy, with a moderate sourness. Finishes dry and sweet. A very refreshing summer beer.
