2007 Seasonal, this beer really blew me away. My first sampling of the Berliner Weisse style and this beer simply rocks! Poured into my tumbler, cloudy pale gold color with an initially thick fizzy white head that settles as time goes by. A spot or two of lacing but that’s about it. Captivating aroma of sour malt and ripe peaches. Very tart on the tongue, This one feels great on the palate. Tangy, crisp and a touch dry this is fun to drink. Flavors of peaches, lemons and citrus fruit coupled with some dry wheat and a wonderful sourness, slightly grassy. Invigorating and quenching, hands down the best summer brew of the year so far.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 7/25/09

Aroma: Sweet and fruity, sugary, malts, citrus, mild peach
Appearance: Clear yellow looking color, minimal white head
Flavor: Sour fruit, that’s really all you need to know
Palate: Light body, short duration, high carbonation
Overall Impression: Too tart for me. I guess if you like that mouth pinching tartness, you may enjoy this one more then I did, if not, I’d avoid.

12 oz bottle. Straw yellow with a hint of orange. Peach and orange aroma with a light sour hint and touch of wheat. Lightly sour and tart flavor with various light fruit (peach, cherry, orange). The grain/wheat is secondary to the other flavors. Tart semi-dry body. This is a great quenching brew. Hope they make it every year.

Bottle. Hazy, golden color. Tangy aroma, with some peaches in the background. Tangy flavor. Some peaches, and other citrus notes. Smooth and crisp. Nice to have on a hot day. Pretty simple beer, but good.

Yellow coloured beer with a small white head and no carbonation. Sweet hoppy aroma. Full sour palate. Finish is very sour with a sweet fruity touch. Nice one.

Ridiculously foamy pour, thought I was drinking a soda instead of a beer. Super carbonated with a somewhat artificial tasting peach flavor. Too malty and sour, but not godawful for a fruit beer.

Poured hazy pale yellow color with fizzy whitish head. Aroma is large citrus melody, mostly peach, lime, and lemon, maybe a bit of grapefruit. Flavor is very very sour and peachy and lemony. Maybe some like this kinda beer but reminded me too much of a woodchuck cider gone peachy and bad.

Pours a cloudy, golden color with a white head. Aroma is of peach, hay, wheat, and spices. Wasn’t very impressed with the aroma. Flavor starts off tart with the peach flavor that lasts almost throughout. It pretty much covers up all the other flavors. By far my least favorite of the DFH brews. Not really very good.
