Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 7/25/09

Aroma: Sweet and fruity, sugary, malts, citrus, mild peach
Appearance: Clear yellow looking color, minimal white head
Flavor: Sour fruit, that’s really all you need to know
Palate: Light body, short duration, high carbonation
Overall Impression: Too tart for me. I guess if you like that mouth pinching tartness, you may enjoy this one more then I did, if not, I’d avoid.

Yellow coloured beer with a small white head and no carbonation. Sweet hoppy aroma. Full sour palate. Finish is very sour with a sweet fruity touch. Nice one.

Pours a rather hazes yellowy pink, light with a large bubbled, fading white head. The nose is a bit peachy with the fruit, though there is a definite sharpness to the nose more resembling citrus. This seems to have a bit of that lactobacillus sort of funk, not to mention a bit of some wheaty esters. In the mouth, this is abit thin and perhaps a slight bit fizzy, but on a quencher like this, I actually sort of appreciate those aspects. Again, a bit wheaty, in the esters, but the lactobacillus takes the stager in terms of a slightly salty tartness. The presence of peach is there, perhaps slightly offsetting the sharpness, but not in an unpleasant way, perhaps reminiscent of the apricot in Aprihop, though more sweet and juicy. The finish is clean, with a nice quenching acidic bite. I could drink quite a few of these on a hot day. Beats lemonade hands down. rerate 10.18.07 I see no pink! This is maybe a warm bleached bleh yellow. But some haze saves this. 1 point off there! But, over all, I gotta give this one more point. This is a fun beer.

Sampled twice: on tap @ the Grey Lodge, then in 12oz bottles. Hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. Lactic nose, aroma of citrus and apricot. Nice tart, peach flavor along with wheat and yeast; begins sweet then gives way to a fairly long, tart finish. Effervescent and refreshing.

Ridiculously foamy pour, thought I was drinking a soda instead of a beer. Super carbonated with a somewhat artificial tasting peach flavor. Too malty and sour, but not godawful for a fruit beer.

Pours a lot lighter than i was expecting. light gold color with almost no head. Aroma is faint peaches and sour patch kids. Extremely light body. flavor is sour but not nearly as much as the other berliner weisses i’ve had. tart peaches and salt. pretty refreshing. still a stupid style of beer.

looks like a hoegaarden: slightly browned yellow urine with definite opacity and white head. i wish i’d waited for a hot summer day to try the only bottle i have of this. oh well. the first scent to hit the nose is rank peaches, then a sort of spoiled milk sweet/sourness. after a little while, the nose loses that scent and it’s just a nice light peach aroma. flavor isn’t bad. it definitely tastes altogether a little underpowered and watery, but that might just be my low abv bias. it tastes something like a sour lemony candy. it’s really really watery. maybe that’s why they marketed it as a "dog day" summer beer. too bad i was too drunk to remember anything about the fff berliner weiss i had. probably about the same. i suddenly have a low opinion of people from berlin. even kolsches are better than these.

Cloudy yellow in color with a diminishing head. Aromas of baking bread, peaches, and lemon. Very light citrus and peach, almost a Club Lemon taste and palate. Sour finish. Very interesting, good with food.
