Bottle (12oz). Via trade with MrBendo. Hazy, pale yellow, good-sized tightly fizzy white lasting head. Fresh sweetened peach aroma, lightly of sweet plonk, some grass/mint hops in there too. The taste is lovely - tart blush wine with acidic fresh peach, again some light sharp sweetly herbal hops in the finish. Light-bodied (appropriately so), very lively and acidic, the malt drops off fast, leaving a pleasant fruit/acid tingle on the tongue. Tasty as all get-out, and quenching too.

On tap at Moan and Dove in Mass., the no.1 rated bar in the country. Light and cloudy. Peach and wheat flavour. Bit of head and lace. Straight up peach flavour, above average carbonation. A bit fruit soda taste, medium or lighter mouthfeel.

This Berliner Weiss pours a cloudy yellow gold from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Good lacing. Aroma is tart, citrusy and a touch of peach. A medium bodied Berliner Weiss. The malts are tart and citrusy. The peach flavors somewhat balanced the tartness of this beer, but there is a whole lot of tartness here. The peach flavors are there at the start, but get overwhelmed by the citrusy and lemony tartness. A nice beer. It’s a step away from the usual high alcohol beer that DFH makes. I like it. Light and refreshing, a good palate cleanser. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is dry and crisp. Aftertaste is tart.

Bottle. Hazy pastel yellow-orange with a small white head. Musty sweet peaches, grassy grainy notes, very light yeasty funk. First sip is bracingly sour - tart. Tong quickly acclimatizes though and the sour comes in waves. Very light fruit character like an over attenuated cider, light peach, straw. Light palate is fairly effervescent. Pleasant change of pace. I want to say I like it but I do not necessarily crave more of it.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy softly carbonated yellow colored body. The mild aroma was like a Georgia peach and made me sneeze. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a dull malty backing. The unlikeable flavor contained notes of malt and peaches. A horrible one that I would not buy again. The flavor was just too strange for me in a beer. Surprising for a good brewer like DFH.

Bottle: Poured very light yellow, lightly spritzy. The aroma is definitely there, but doesn’t have much of a discernable character if maybe a bit of fruity peachiness. It drinks quite tart and sweet, if not quite as over the top as a true Berliner, with just a light peachiness in a canned fruit salad type of way. Good, but not up to the usual awesome standards of DFH. (#3038, 7/27/2007)

Bottle at Oliver Twist. Unclear yellow - white head. High citrus, light peach, wheat, peas in a jar, white bread, light hoppy. A bit strange but nice.
