Pours a cloudy light gold with a thick fluffy white head of awesome retention. This looks way better than many Wits. Has a mild peach aroma, but mostly a yeasty doughy scent with a splash of lemon citrus. WOW, this is very tart! Has a long acidity on the tongue. A very seltzer-like palate. So acidic, it seems to be concentrated lemons. I can see why they use the term "neo-Berliner weisse." There’s not much peach flavor to this. It tastes similar to an apricot home brew that I once made with a huge amount of fruit and very little malt. I get a faint sensation of oakiness toward the bitter end. shrubber85 (2999), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Bottle. Slightly musty/dry wheat malt aroma - hint of peach. Cloudy pale yellow with no head. Dry vinous wheat malt flavor with mild peach flavor - a slight hint of sweetness in the finish. Not quite as sour as Schultheiss or Berliner Kindl but extremely well made and authentic - really no sweetness at all. ante (2969), Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2008 A good beer, from the always dependable Dogfish Head. I have respect for any brewer who even attempts this very uncommon style. Cloudy, lambic like appearance. Aroma has light wheat and peach. Flavor is lightly sour with just a hint of fruit. Its a close call between being a Berlinner and a sour wheat beer. Enjoyable and refreshing either way. BMan1113VR (2946), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Pours with a hazy yellow body with a frothy white head. Aroma is of wheat, tartness, and very faint peach. Taste is tart and a bit lactic with light, sweet peach. Lively carbonation. Not bad. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2008 The aroma is sour and fruity. Cloudy yellow pour with almost no head. Good flavor of tart, green apples, it’s fruity and refreshing, almost puckering. Dogbrick (2907), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2007 This beer is a hazed pale yellow color with a thin white head that dissapears almost immediately, leaving a rather sad, lemonade-ish drink. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mostly peachy with touches of citrus and musty malt. Lightm fruity body with tart peach and wheat flavors. Very little sweetness which would help a lot here. The finish is fruity and short, leaving a sour fruit aftertaste for a moment. Nothing worth revisiting here.
