Peach and orange aroma with a light sour hint and touch of wheat. Lightly sour and tart flavor with various light fruit (peach, cherry, orange). The grain/wheat is secondary to the other flavors. Tart semi-dry body. This is a great quenching brew. Hope they make it every year. carl4beer (401), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

Sour and sweet aromas led to a flavor that was actually more sudued than I had expected it to be. It was very tart peach without being overly so. I really liked it. The randallized version was awesome. Poured a murky yellowish straw with a little, sudsy white lace. Nose is tart peaches, wheat, lemon juice. Flavor is similar to aroma and the peaches are much more present in the radallized version as opposed to the regular version. A refreshing beer and a very nice to see from dfh. I wish they would just brew the Festina Lente again. SudsMcDuff (1695), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Another adored bottle of Dogfish Head has come into my posession, and I am once again thrilled with what they’ve made. This time it was the lighter, more jovial Festina Peche, a so called "Malt Beverage" with "Peach Concentrate." I like malt beverages, and I like peach concentrate, so there’s no reason why this can’t be a splendid drink - and it is. To my eyes the Festina Peche looks a lot like a wit bier, with a heavy cloudiness and a light yellow and gold color, though this drink may be a hair darker than your typical wit. The fresh scent of peach flesh builds the base of the aroma, which is light, bright and refreshing. Lemon, pepper and a pinch of alcohol mix with a light strawberry aroma and an orange dryness to compose a tantalizingly delicious but ephemeral aroma. The flavor is twin to the aroma, but adds a layer of tangerine and citrus tanginess, along with an extra spoonful of passion fruit sweetness (in lieu of some of the aroma’s peachiness.) The tanginess is superb, and cooperates swimmingly with the other flavor elements. Nicely balanced sweetness, like, quenching, delightfully tangy and overall delicious, the Festina Peche is a remarkable beer and apt for the Spring months. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Hazy yellow pour producing a substatnial white head that endures tolerably well. Teh peach aroma is there, but subdued, and there is a nice sour citrusy characterthat seems more evident. Lively carbonation and a light body with a clean palate come together for a very refreshing quality. Sour and acidic with only the faintest touch of sweetness and a bit of bitterness at the finish add to the refreshing nature. This is a really nice beer for hot weather. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Updated: Jul 4, 2009A difficult beer to rate, as the recipe apparently changed from 2007 to 2008, and the character of the beer is now much different. This year’s offering has no head but alot of prickly carbonation. Strange flavor of peaches gushing somewhere beneath the surface, but it’s so overwhelmed by the massive tartness and acidity that it’s hard to appreciate. Last year’s version felt more well-rounded, with a good dose of sourness but not quite as sickly a one as this. It’s not all that enjoyable right now, though still interesting, but I have to give props to this beer based on last year’s bottlings, which were fantastic.
Edit - The 2009 version is the bomb.
