Lots of bubbles and carbonation in the glass. Bright gold color. Yeasty aroma with traces of peach scent. Refreshingly sour flavor. Had this been less carbonated it wouldn’t have been as good a brew. If you’re expecting this to be a peach "fruit" beer you’re going to be sorely disappointed! This is a good representative of the Berliner Weisse style, though perhaps it could have had a little more yeast character in the profile. Palate is clean and aftertaste doesn’t linger for long at all. I hope they start bringing this to California on a regular basis! DYCSoccer17 (2200), Davis, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2009 12 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is tart with some acidic notes and some barnyard funkiness. Some brett seems to be present. A little lemony aroma is also in there. Decent. Transparent pale golden body with a large, fluffy white head present. Starts with a sharp, tart lemony acidity. Becomes a little malty in the middle with some milky, doughy, biscuit flavors. A little more lemon flavor present to finish. This is actually pretty good and quite enjoyable. Dorwart (1825), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Thin bright white head of fine bubbles. Light grassy aroma with maybe a hint of peach. Some hops presence with a little bit of citrus. Color is a light clear gold. Wow, succulent flavor. Some sourness and tartness but not enough to make you pucker. Totally makes your mouth salivate though and beg for more. Light flavor with more grassy flavors and more peach presence. Light crisp and refreshing. Finiishes clean and dry. Lingering dry tart peachyness. Very good. Not sure how much of this I can drink before it becomes tooo dry and hard to swallow. Either that or when I can’t produce any more saliva because I have used it all up. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Draft at the Gaithersburg pub. Murky hefeweizen appearance, cloudy and milky yellow. Sprizty and mildly prickly, sour lemon flavors abound, it’s not really a yogurt or lactic sourness at all, really just a straight lemon juice sour. Zesty up front, then more semi-sweet lemons on the back. Fresh tasting... overall it’s ok to good, but I don’t get any peach at all, really just straight lemon juice sour. Interesting but a bit far off from the other German Berlinner weisse I’ve had. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2007 Slightly cloudy yellow body with a small ring of white foam on top. Aroma is slightly fruity. Flavor is tart and fruity, although not really peachy, with a moderate sourness. Finishes dry and sweet. A very refreshing summer beer. Boutip (2385), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2007 Bottle courtesy of SS: Poured a cloudy bright yellow color beer with a big huge pure white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of tart malt with a hint of fruit sweetness. Taste is quite tart but not up to a lambic level with some light fruit sweetness. Body is about average with some great carbonation. I’m not sure what to make of this one or really to expect since I know so very little of the style. I sure couldn’t have tell there was peach in there and would have loved more tartness but that just me. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Pours a very light hazy straw yellow with a frothy white head and soapy lacing. The nose is of peaches and blue cheese. The flavor has a subtle amount of peach balanced with a tart cheesiness that is very pleasing. Very drinkable beer and well made beer. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Hazy white-yellow body, dense lasting stark white head. The aroma is lightly sweet, peach, lemon, wheat. The flavor is nice, lightly tart with a good nuttiness, the peach really adds a nice flavor twist while, thankfully, it is not overly sweet. The palate is light and crisp. Enjoyable and interesting. Glad to see that it is not an attempt at an Imperial Berliner Weisse, can you imagine! Ugghh...
