MMM, tart right away, sour orange, grapefruit, and kumquats in the flavor, with sour peaches in the finish. Ends dry with a hairy tongue. Great berliner weisse although i don’t get a lot of peaches but its still a great beer. kramer (2510), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a hazy straw yellow colored body under a one finger fizzy white head that retained as a thin covering. The aroma is a nice balance between the tart crisp wheat and a juicy peach fruitiness. Quite a bit of funkiness going on here. Bracingly tart sour wheat from front to back with a nice restrained peach sweetness. An undercurrent of yeast and cellar funk ties everything together. Mouthfeel is light bodied with great refreshing prickly fizzy carbonation. The tartness never gets overwhelming, and just sucks the saliva from the cheeks. Overall, I think that DFH really nailed this effort. Maybe not a true Berliner Weisse, but a great beer. The best beer from DFH in a very long time. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small but lasting whit head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is acidic with light notes of lemon, grapefruit, and peaches. Taste is the same as aroma with a wonderfull tartness and a mild barnyard character. The peaches start to stand out as the beer warms. Medium thin mouthfeel that finishes tart and dry. Another wonderfull offering from Dogfish Head jason (1624), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a cloudy pale yellow body with thin head. Sweet sour apple aroma - grapes, light citrus. Taste is slightly sour, light granny smith apple, light citrus - fruity. Sweet tart flavor - reminded me of the "smarties" candy. Can taste a little of that peach syrupy taste that you get from cans of peaches. Enjoyable. Very impressed this came from Dogfish Head. Look forward to seeing these bottles on the shelves. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Poured a cloudy golden color, with a thin white head. Had a tart taste of peaches, lemon, and other citrus fruit, spices, and finished like a hefeweizen, sweet and bland. Had a weird feeling in the mouth of how the carbonation and sourness reacted. Thanks for sharing Dragonstout. tunneler (113), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Crisp and tart without being too tart like some gueuze and also without the sticky sweetness of some sour ales. Simple, clean, and utterly refreshing. I don’t understand the low ratings...are people expecting a pale ale when they drink this or something? johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2007 On tap at Capones. Poured a cloudy orange/yellow that you can’ see through with white head that lasted a second. Aroma of peaches, citrus, and hops. More fruit than anything. Very carbonated fruity taste. Peaches, oranges, and lemon flavors all came though. The finish was a little harsh of carbonation. I think it needed to mellow out a little bit longer. Very good different brew though. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 26, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy light yellow color. Very thin aroma... yeasty... the peaches don’t come through much. The taste on this one blew me away though. Unique. Nice sourness to it, strong peachiness. The finish is a little more subdued... citrus peel, yeast... more hefeweizen. Be careful with this one, it’s tricky. ;-) My favorite DFH.
