Cloudy Pale Honey Color with No Head. Cereal Grains, Wheat and Peaches Left Out in the Open Air.... Aroma. Light to Medium Body...Subtle Silky Mouthfeel. Initially Carbonated, Then Develops a Juice Quality. Well Balanced Tartness and ’Aged’ Peach Flavor. Sweet Tart Ending. Some Wheaty Aftertaste and the Tartness Drops Off a Bit...Strictly to Style, It’s Not Nearly as Tart as it Should Be, But if we Assume That Wasn’t Exactly What DFH Was Pushing Towards..it’s a Very Enjoyable Fruit-Laden Berliner. Very Interesting Concoction. ’Our’ man at Dogfish Head is one brilliant, creative geek. Hats are Tipped.

Poured a lightly hazy, pale golden color with a small white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of fresh peach, citrus, and a barnyardy quality. Taste of peach, tart, citrus fruits, hay, and a long, dry, sour finish.

12 oz. bottle. Poured out a hazy yellow color, with a thin white head. Not much lacing going on. Aromas are of lactic wheat, slightly acidic aromas, along with sour peaches. Flavors are of peaches, funky yeast, slight vinegar tastes as well. Decent body, slick mouthfeel. Slightly puckering at the end. Lactic acid finish. Decent beer overall. Light & refreshing.

Bottle. Slightly musty/dry wheat malt aroma - hint of peach. Cloudy pale yellow with no head. Dry vinous wheat malt flavor with mild peach flavor - a slight hint of sweetness in the finish. Not quite as sour as Schultheiss or Berliner Kindl but extremely well made and authentic - really no sweetness at all.

Trust Dogfish to do a sour ale and do it well. Hats off to what is for me, a winner. The nose is a very light peach. The beer pours cloudy with a very thin and very short lasting head. The taste is a lovely sour, a bit thin but with a strong peach finish. I’ll be talking my local packy into carrying this.

Straw colored and cloudy with a thin ring of white bubbles. Aroma of lemon, tart peaches, and and underlying pilsner-like quality. Flavor is appropriately dominated by the tartness, with a soft, almost nutty sweetness in the background, which oddly only hits my palate about every other taste. This is just about the perfect refreshing summer beer - relatively low grav, tart, and refreshing. Good body for the style, and even though it has a bubbly appearance, the carbonation is not rough at all. Nicely done, DFH.

Bottle: The aroma is grassy with some light musty lemony sourness and very faint peach. It pours a hazy/cloudy dull yellow with virtually no head. Some fizzy bubbles form during the pour, but they form a small head that lasts maybe 10 seconds. The flavor starts rather light with just a hint of sweetness. It’s followed by a nice lemon and faint peach tartness with faint grassy bitterness and spice in the finish. The peach is there, but it’s very faint or maybe just covered up by the lemony tartness. I’m not a peach fan, so I kind of expected to be turned off by this, but it’s rather tasty and refreshing. I really wish there was more of this style to sample. While not as good as the 1809, I see myself drinking this more often due to it’s price. This could be a regular beer of mine this summer.

This was a great beer!
Cloudy yellow with a nice white head.m Very faint sweet wine and peach aroma but with a big sweet-tart candy flavor but not so over powering that it didnt make me want to have another glass. A good change of pace.
