| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 2, 2009 This is one wicked powerful beer, if you can call it a beer. WOW! It’s like downing a six-pack. The 18% ABV is definitely noticeable. The raspberries are actually pretty noticeable. It’s not overly sweet. You can NOT drink this one fast unless you want to get drunk. I certainly liked it, but there are better things to drink. It looks like a slightly discolored Bloody Mary when you pour it. I would be more than willing to drink this again. Good stuff overall! It certainly packs a wallop! BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2008 I have no idea why my old rating got deleted, but there you go. A perennial favorite at GABF, Fort has a solid raspberry aroma and flavor to accompany the hazy red body. When young. Young, this beer is a little strong on the alcohol but Ive had the pleasure of drinking bottles with 12-24 months on them and the beer mellows considerably with that kind of age. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Pours a dark hazy orange with a fizzy white head that fades way too fast. Nose is candied berries with a strong yeasty and earthy thing. alochol noted. Flavor is strong in alcohol with raspberry accents. Kinda tasted like a weak raspberry vodka. Never tasted this fresh, but its not my favorite fruit beer. I think the high alcohol content might have something to do with it.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2008 It is reddish with a small, creamy head. The aroma has a lot of raspberries and sweetness, and it is a bit vinous. The flavour has a strong sweetness in a vinous kind of way, notes of loads of raspberries, a light berry acidity, raspberry jam, and towards the finish I find a hint of anise. The alcohol is well hidden and being as strong as it is, it is great for sharing with friends as a wine for the desert. fonefan (11891), VestJylland, Denmark

Aroma is fruity, raspberry, mustard. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. (120908) ROGUE (712), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 18, 2008 750ml bottle. Aroma is incredibly sweet and syrupy like a liqueur. Pours a hazy copper with no real head. Flavor is very alcoholic and sweet. Almost like a fruit infused malt liquor. Way off balance and completely lacking subtlety. One of the worst dogfish i ever tried.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Botteled @ EBF 2008. Slightly hazy brownish orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of raspberry, sweet fruits like raisins and a distinct acidulous cellar note found in some wooden matured Belgium red/brown ales. Flavor is sweet with a balanced bitter sourness, hints of caramel and dry fruit and warming alcohol. This is intense sweet. Almost sticky but somehow the alcohol and the acid is balancing this at some point. Complex, definitive tasteful, a bit odd and very interesting. I could have good time with the aroma from this beer alone.
