Very sweet raspberry jam flavor with alcohol hidden beneath the sugar, and no connections to beer. Full body with loads of sugar. Ok dessert in small doses, but not a beer. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of sugary sweet raspberry syrup and alchol. Flavor definitely more of raspberry syrup than fresh raspberries. Very hot; lots of alchol in the flavor. A decent beer but, considering what I paid for it, pretty disappointing. I’ve been told that a few years in a cellar does this beer a lot of good and I could definitely see that being the case. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Big raspberry aroma with hints of dark fruits and wood. Cloudy orange amber with small white head. Medium body and full creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is rich raspberry syrup with some hot spicy alcohol. Finish is sweet with wood and more dark fruit. A small amount of this stuff will go a long way!! CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
