Pours out a cloudy reddish hued orange color with a small lively head. Heavy on the carbonation. Aroma is of some sweet malts, raspberry and some alcohol. Taste is raspberry, sweet sticky malts, some light earthy notes also....o and of course the alcohol hits you on the finish also. Definitely interesting

Tart rasberry flavor with a beer aftertaste. After its gone you feel carbonation and a slight alchohol flavor. This is nogruit lambic - I don’t feel like the the fruit and beer go together very well. But there is a lot to each sip and I admire the effort.

Pours somewhere between red-brown-orange. No head really to speak of. The aroma is very boozy, with a mild raspberry shadow. Tastes very vinous to me like a wine on steroids. I had no idea this was 18% when i cracked it.All else aside this is a very animated, high ABV, fruit beer. Everyone outta try it.

Pours a slightly reddish brown with no head. Smells of berries and alcohol. The first thing you notice is how lively the carbonation is, then the raspberries hit you. It has a somewhat dry, alcoholic finish. The initial impression is almost that of a chardonnay. Everything mixes well for a very satisfying drink, definitely something to savor.

Poured a deep cherry red body with next to no head. Sweet saccharine, berry nose. Subtle alcohol buried within a fruity bomby body. Great mouthfeel. Mildly tart, but mostly vinous and sweet as can be. This beer will wreck you.

750 ml bottle. bottled 11/13/06. enjoyed june 8th 2008. 10-5-10-4-20-4.9 aquired from a trade with mcbackus. this was a bonus bottle and what a bonus it turned out to be. pours deep hazy brown with a nice tan head. carbonation stays with you through the bottle. 4 hrs after cracking this brew still produced a lively head upon pouring. aromas are american barley wine with raspberries drizzle on top. lots of fruitiness but with noticeable malt stucture. the 18% ABV creeps around the corner just to make sure you dont think of taking this one lightly. the flavour is amazing. american barley wine in nature with the fruit showing up in all the right places. terrific stuff. i did not go into this one with high hopes but i was blown away with the balance and drinkability of this brew. matt if you have more of these to spare please let me know. wow the second time i enjoyed this was equaly magnificent if not better then the first. if anyone has a bottle to spare please consider me as a worthy recipient. best fruit beer ever!! ill gladly entertain any hope of adding one of these to my cellar! Second bottle of this aquired from a trade with dkachur. bottled 7/6/07. enjoyed August 26th 2008. 8-5-8-3-16-4.0 the aroma was still enjoyable but with some heat on the end. the alcohol really shows in this bottle. still pretty good but not nearly as enjoyable as the first. if i ever get enother one of these ill know that it needs at least 2years to come together. my rating is a blend of the 2 bottles ive had.
