| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Pours a dark amber with a fizzy off white head. Lots of fruit and alcohol in the aroma, along with some malt. Alcohol seems to overpower the raspberries on the tongue. Perhaps it would have benefited from some aging to mellow out. I wouldn’t mind trying an older bottle, but the alcohol was just too big for the rest of the flavors. BeerandBlues2 (3225), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2008 750 mL bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours clear ruby with a small, fizzy, off-white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw), average hops (grass, flowers), light yeast (dough) with notes of raspberries and alcohol. Medium bodied, oily texture, average carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Snojerk321 (2002), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2008 750ml bottle acquired in trade with Beachbum25. Holy SHIT!! I shouldn’t have drank this by myself. Nose was big on Raspberries and booze. Flavor was dominated more by alcohol than fruit. Brew was full bodied and had a very tingly mouth feel. golubj (1289), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2008 2006 bottle. Brownish pour with a red hint. Aroma is rich malt, alcohol, and some seedy raspberries. The flavor is the same, but the alcohol / rich malt is a little overwhelming. It’s just too boozy and that wrecks the fruit flavors that could have been nice in a more balanced beer. GMCC2181 (871), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA

Taste is awesome! Rasberries all the way! Sweet but does have a hint of alcohol in there. Not thick but not light. Medium carbonation. It is hard to hide 18 percent but DFH does a pretty good job. But over all this is a very enjoyable beer. Good beer!****Update**** Just had it on tap at the brewpub. Taste was super sweet all sugar. I enjoyed the bottle version much more. Definetly a dessert beer. Magicdave6 (5546), London, Greater London, England

Aroma is very sweet caramel, fruity boiled sweet theres some light chocolate notes with the rasberries. Taste is similar actually very easily drinkable with the rasberry coming through more than the aroma, carbonation is very good, alc incredibly well hidden but warms you.
