750 mL bottle. Pours a reddish amber. Very cloudy with a small white head. From the moment it hits your mouth you taste the raspberries. Interestingly, at this abv the taste is hidden quite nicely. Would a make a nice dessert beer paired with dark chocolate.

Bottle. Dogfish head did a wonderful job with this brew. The alcohol content is kind of high, but considering it is 18% that isn’t too bad. Somewhat thick white head with a pale redish body. Certainly not their best beer, but decent enough to try at least once.

Dogfish Head: good brewery. Raspberries: a favorite fruit. 18% ABV: potent stuff. All the makings for a great beer experience. Wrong. A murky copper liquid with a fast-exiting soda-pop head. Raspberry aroma tempered with malt and alcohol as in mouthwash. Slighly syrupy. Comparisons have been made to raspberry liqueurs but unfairly to the liqueurs. The flavor was fermented raspberries: very alcoholic with a tinge of overripe berries. An extremely disappointing drink.

750mL. The beer pours a murky amber-orange. Aroma of raspberries and prune. The high alcohol content here is not as successful as Dogfish Head 120. Sort of disappointed with this one, but i guess you could just do shots of it anyway? SECOND TRY::: Way better than my first sample over two years ago. The beer pours an excellent body - orange hazy body with a red hue. The aroma is strong raspberries, as is the taste. It hides the alcohol way better than I remember.

Whoa. What a piece of crap! Now don’t get me wrong, I love DFH and their experimentation, and generally think they excel at the super heavyweight beers. But this one - nope. Aroma hints at raspberries with a vinous note and some sweet alcohol. Flavor is boozy and intense, a blend of raspberry, brandy and fusels. Very medicinal, like bad cough syrup. Def syrupy sweet. Ugh. Palate burning. Gasoline. In some ways reminscent of cheap nasty wine. Amber color darkened by a hint of raspberry read, smallish head and light carbonation.

Foggy, amber, ruby very thin white head. Aroma is raspberries, alcohol, toffee, caramel. Taste is caramel, toffee, light raspberries, but they sure don’t show up as much as I expected. Overall a ok beer, alcohol is hidden very well.

750 from mgumby10; Nose is of raspberries (WHAT ELSE) with a small hint of caramel malt, but faint; hazy copper orange with a medium cinnamon colored head; flavor is raspberries, moderate alcohol, and some background maltiness. It is a potent fruit beer, thought I had a WWS but the’re only 12 ozers!
