bottle thanks to mcbackus. pours a golden yellow, with lots of head that lasts a long time. very hoppy aroma, but sharp hops, very biitter smelling hops with a nice maltiness. Flavour is very crisp, and quite bitter in the end. the noble hps dominate the flavour, alcohol is hiden very well.

12oz - bottled 2007 - Aroma of sweet pilsner malts with lots of earthy citrus hops. Pours transparent yellow with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma but has a dry dusty back. Palate is syrupy and sticky. Not sure if a fresher one would have crisper hops, but still enjoyable as is.

April 2006 - Okay, I’m not a fan. It looked great, big head, crystal clear, but I have to DRINK them, not gaze at them affectionately (the lacing was really sweet, though). This beer had a really nice hop twang, but was really, really too sweet for my liking. Okay, but there are other, nonimperial pilsners that taste better and don’t consume liver space.

This poured a clear golden color with a foamy medium sized white head that left behind lace all over the glass. The aroma is of citrus fruits, malts, bread, yeast, and some floral hops. The flavor starts out with the sweet citrus fruit and malts with some bready flavors then followed by floral and citrus hops. The flavors seem to complement each other nicely. This one is medium bodied and smooth drinking that has a nice long bitter finish from the hops. The is a solid imperial pilsner and one I would drink again.

Bottle. Clear gold-straw color with massive off-white head. Malty nose that is well done. Sweet grain malt body with a faint metallic tinge on the finish.

Gorgeous golden shower pour, leaves more frothy lacing like a morning pee. Smells much better than that would too, and is easier to drink. Aroma is citrus fruit and chamomile flower. Alcohol is apparent in the taste but not the nose. Clean noble hop finish. Aftertaste also has strong citrus rind bitterness and juice of sour orange throughout. Is that kumquat or loquat? Palate is thick and chewy like an oatmeal cookie.
