Light copper brown color, good creamy head, lots of lace. Papery, grassy aroma with fruity notes. Full-bodied with notable alcohol. Sweetish, flowery hoppy - hops are dominating the aftertaste. I can trace also black currant leaves and lemon.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Clear golden with a smallish head. Sweetish, strong and somewhat alcoholic honey-malty aroma. Very malty, sweet and softly flowery-hoppy flavor. Quite full-bodied, low-carbonated palate. Nice and full, but too alcoholic, imo.

Golden Shower: Boiled sweets, condensed milk, orange citrus and light spice in the aroma with some notes of alcohol. Clear, deep golden coloured body topped by a partial cover of white head. Very sweet and syrupy with orange citrus and spicy hop character. Bitterness creeps in at the end and lingers but can’t take the edge off the sweetness. Alcohol is very apparent. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Bottle sampled in Fall 2006 with beerbuzzmontreal, Cathschlag, GlouGlouBurp, MartinT, Olivier_MTL, Rastacouere and Yowie.

Perfectly clear orange, large yellow bubbles. Sweet maltiness can be smelled from across the room. Overly sweet taste followed by strong bitter finish. Thick and chewy, basically liquid toffee with lots of alcohol. Too heavy.

(Bottle 75 cl) Comes as "Dogfish Head Golden Shower". Pours a clear, deep golden with a dense, yellowish head. Sweetish, malty nose. Very full-bodied with a very solid malt base and a discreet bitterness. When it comes to Imperial Pilseners this is definitely one of the better examples. 160607

Bottle. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacing in glass. Clear sparkling body with a golden / yellow color. Quit malty notes in the aroma. Caramel, almost toffee like, hint of rye bread and some grainy like notes as well. Hint of floral hops combined with some bubblegum, fruit and what felt like sweet honey. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light sticky sweet texture. Moderated sweet malty flavor with only light bitterness, properly from the light hoppy notes. Long lasting sweet and fruity peach like finish. Very sweet European Strong. Not much Lager over this one, but still very nice experience.

Light amber color, medium white head. Aroma is very sweet, alcohol, light caramel, honey, notice a bit of spice also. Taste is alcohol of front, grapes, light toffee, and caramel. Not bad, but too much alcohol showing.
