Pours a hazy reddish yellow color with a small soapy head. Aroma of hops, yeast and malts. Flavor is malts, hops, corn, and grass but very well put together. No way this is 9%. The alcohol in this has sure mellowed after a year. JCB (1762), Durham, North Carolina, USA

This one is probably the best of the impy pilsners I’ve tried, even though it was a bit pricey. A very strong yeasty aroma coming from a big hazy light orange pour. Strong sweet malts and pepper in the nose. Upon tasting it’s less harsh than you might expect from that, with even a trace of honied sweetness. Booze is detectable, warming, but not overpowering. Good one. Rciesla (3621), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2008 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear dark golden/orange colour with a small white head. Fresh noble grassy hops, minerals with fruity undertones of apricots. Medium to full-bodied with notes of apricots, tangerine, minerals and grassy elegant hops. Gives an extremely well-balanced impression. Long finish of grassy and mineraly hops with fruity undertones of yellow fruit. Much better than Samuel Adams version IMO.
