Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear dark golden/orange colour with a small white head. Fresh noble grassy hops, minerals with fruity undertones of apricots. Medium to full-bodied with notes of apricots, tangerine, minerals and grassy elegant hops. Gives an extremely well-balanced impression. Long finish of grassy and mineraly hops with fruity undertones of yellow fruit. Much better than Samuel Adams version IMO.

pours gold yellow with a small amount of head. smell is astringent and grassy. sips is too heavy on the hops, some citrus in the background. aftertaste is a little funky and earthy, like a cheap megabrew. im not a big pilsner fan, and this doesnt do anything to sway me. bleh.

batch 3/21/06: Date consumed: 5/10/08 Slightly hazed orange copper color with a medium fluffy off white head. Pungent yeast and malt aromas with a touch of sweet alcohol. Full bodied and low carbonation. Sweet alcohol and soft carmel malt flavors with the presence of some hops. Still a little on the sweet side, but thats malt liquor for you. The aging has balanced this beer nicely. Good full finish that warms the throat.

Bottled 3/21/06. Poured a clear amber with a frothy white head. Nice sweet malt and fruit aroma. The flavor finds lots of caramel malts with some fruits. Sweet throughout. Medium to full body. Very enjoyable. (Rating from June ’07)

12oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange-golden color. Head was white and reduce over a minute or so to a thin film. A bit of lace was left behind. Attractive aroma of malty caramel, fresh cereal grain, citrus, and noble hops. There was also an occasional whiff of pineapple. Slightly sweet up front with flavors of cooked vegetables, noble hops, flower blossom, and a hint of honey. Medium bodied with a dry bitter finish. At 9%, there wasn’t a great deal of alcohol flavor. Pretty good.

Dogfish Head Golden Era is a beautiful amber/yellow color with a very airy, but disapearing head. The aroma is full of sweet malts while the flavor is a perfect blend of sweet malts and bitter hops. This is a fantastic lager!

A- Pours a clear yellow color with a massive amount of carbonation bubbles present. A decent 2 finger white head is present. S- Nose carries a malty sweetness followed by a good amount of hops. T- Very hoppy at the begining and mellows out toward the end. Bready with a good bit of alcohol apparent. M- Fairly thick and very fizzy. D- Due to the stronger taste and alcohol content I would definitely say it wold be one that I would enjoy 1 of. Better than Sam adams Imperial Pilsner but still a bit lacking in the balance department.
