This was the first time I experienced a beer that rolled along my tongue with multiple flavours of malts and it will always hold a special place in my heart for beers. Very nice. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Poured a huge tan rocky head into a semi dimpled mug. Smell of molasses and malts and brown sugar. Flavour has a nice balance of Sweet and Bitter fresh Happiness- oops I mean Hoppiness. I had already had a few draughts at the Draught House Brewery in Austin so my Palate may have been dulled, but I did not detect a very strong alcohol flavour. The head did dissipate quickly. The bitter flavour though persisted pretty much till the bottom of the glass. I liked the over all effect of this beer. I would try it again. Enjoy! l1br4r14n (286), Washington, Washington DC, USA

It’s like they took two different beers, a scotch ale and IPA, and mixed them together. Very interesting, but they don’t work together real well, rather the flavors are very separate. Strange. IT IS WORTH A TRY! lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Chocolate pour, low head, nice lacing. Light caramel aroma. Nicely carbed with a deep chocolate flavor. Light smokiness, tinged with alcohol and a nice aroma of fruity sweetness. A light nut finishes with more alcohol. Very tasty, a little dry.
