Sep 22, 2008 A really solid entry in the brown ale category by Dogfish head. I got to sample this on tap at the brewery and it was really nice. Malty with lots of brown sugar notes and caramel. Very nice brown ale, but at 7.2% is just a touch high for a great session beer.

Sep 22, 2008 Pours a deep brown, with a short lived off white head. Massive malt presence with a more faint but detectable hop presence. This is an extremely complex, pungent beer that no one other than an extreme beer geek will tolerate well. Could not detect even a hint of carbonation in my bottle. A difficult beer to say the least. I am not nearly as high on Dogfish Head as many here are although I did have a nice consistent 4 pack of 90 Minute this weekend which was superlative.

Sep 6, 2008 Draft. Pours dark brown with tan head that lasts. Caramel and hops on the nose, flavor is a nice mix of brown ale and sharp citrus. Great beer!

Sep 6, 2008 Holy aroma. Smell drips from the tip past my lips till I need to get a grip. Dark chocolate, molasses and cream come barreling out of the bottle straight away. Pours a nice even brown with frothy awesome tasting head. Taste is more of the smell but not to the same degree and with a slight alcohol dryness to the end. The sweetness might turn some off but 2 bottles of this is easily doable. Mouthfeel is the only thing that brings this beer back to earth. Could have been creamier but I wouldn’t want them to compromise anything about this beer to change it’s overall appeal. Very good to great beer. 2008 12oz. bottle.
