pours a clear pale orange with a small white head that dissipates quickly, and little to no lacing. smell is of malt, some ginger, and some caramel. taste is crisp, ginger and spices, malt, and corn, ends with just a little bitterness.

Bottle thanks to a friend. Pour is ever so slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, orange, light pepper, and alcohol. Flavor is solid but nothing too crazy. Light citrus flavor, corriander, caramel malt, light pepper, maybe ginger if your on drugs, and light alcohol. As I drink this, I have one overwhelming thought: Why do Dogfish Head beers cost so much? It’s certainly not due to superior flavor. This is solid, it’s fine, I could drink it for hours. Its not unique, it’s not above average. I am done with purchasing expensive beer from Delaware. Im glad to have tried this, and I even more glad that I did not have to pay for it.

Pours a crisp straw color with a thin soapy head which fades to a ring and leaves a few rainy streaks on the glass. Aroma is burnt popcorn, light citrus, and some yeastiness. Taste is much like a tripel - light bitterness, thicker mouthfeel, and some toasted malts and citrus. Pretty drinkable. Not bad.

Pours a clean light golden color with thin white head. Aroma is of sharp grains and light ripe fruit and mild Belgian yeast. Taste is light Beligan spices, clove, light ginger and light fruit. Palate is clean with medium complexity. Overall, it’s like a lightly spiced tripel. Not a big tripel fan but this seemed well done.

A very unique beer with great concept. gold orange colored beer with thin film of a head. Smell was a bit or ginger and spice. Taste was a little light up front but ended with a root beer/ cola finish. texture was sharp carbonation at first but ended with a creaminess.

Strong crystal malt and floral aroma. Appears golden with nice head. The flavor is mild; wild honey, smooth with a light earthy finish. Notes: ’09 GABF

Bottle. Pours a translucent yellow-orange with a thin, bubbly head. Decent level of carbonation that yielded a yeasty, gingery aroma. The taste was sweet, and I was a bit surprised that the dominant flavors were yeast and sugar, not ginger like I had expected. As such, it’s a little two dimensional. I really wasn’t overly impressed with Pangaea. Despite the lofty concept behind it, it lacked the complexity that would have really pushed it over the top. I had high expectations, and they weren’t really met.

On tap at Sugar Maple. Golden yellow with a one finger white head that fades away quickly. Aroma of mild ginger, Belgian yeast, fruit peel. Taste of heavy fruit peel, a touch of ginger, mild candi sugar and Belgian yeast. Finishes up dry. I like most Dogfish head beers, but this one left me a bit unimpressed.

Appearance: Pours a clear gold with an amber tint. Not an overly big head, but leaves a nice 1/8 inch of white throughout the glass. Aroma: Dry malts, fruity yeast, and a nice mixture of spice including ginger. Taste: A nice mouthful of mildly sweet ginger, fruity yeast, spicy hops, dry pale malts. The flavor lingers nicely long after the sip. Mouthfeel: Refreshing and fizzy. Overall: A unique, refreshing, full flavored treat. Very balanced and inviting. I would place this in the middle of a tasting session as a refresher and a palate cleanser. The ginger is used perfectly and almost wakes me up.
