Appearance: Pours a clear amber with a small gathering of white froth at the top.
Aroma: Pumpkin meat, nutmeg, cinnamon and something rather floral.
Taste: Nutmeg, bitter hops, cinnamon, pumpkin. Finishes with the beginning flavors described: nutmeg and hops.
Mouthfeel: Thin to medium bodied, far less thick than I remember last year.
Overall: Not my favorite offering from DFH and not my favorite pumpkin beer. I do appreciate that it isn’t super sweet, I’d like some of the other pumpkin ales I’ve tried to be not so obnoxiously sweet.

Dec 13, 2009 Very spicy nose with some pumpkin aroma. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Taste of pumpkin and sweet malt is present but not overly so. Nicely balanced.

Pretty amber orange color with lace. Spicy, sweet, pumpkin aroma. Huge spices, a bit over the top. Yet the flavor is much more subdued and elegant, a big surprise after the big aroma. Ok pumpkin, nice spices, good alcohol and fruit, with a bit of acid. Very well balanced.

Dec 11, 2009 A nice copper color and a wonderful sugary sweet aroma: hints of nutmeg, cinnamin, and molasses. The taste however was a little bit thin given the big aroma and on the palette it was very ho-hum. Overall a decently tasty and seasonal beer.

Dec 8, 2009 Smell the cinnamon and spice but just beyond that there is a hint of wheat. They cover it well with this one and I am very impressed. Love the taste. Love the quick cinamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and gone taste. Taste like grandma’s pumpkin pie. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful.

Dec 1, 2009 Interesting beer - pours a very clear amber/orange, no cloudiness at all. Flavor is a mild one of pumpkin and brown sugar. Flavor has a nice initial tinge of the aroma and then seems to fiz out rather quickly. Tasty for what it is, but nothing I see myself being a regular drinker of.
