on tap at the Jet Rock bar at the PHL airport; ambar orange colour with nice malty, spice and candied fruit aroma, full bodied viscosity, balanced malty, dried fruit and spice flavour. nice aftertaste with notable alcohol, though not overpowering.

Dec 1, 2009 Interesting beer - pours a very clear amber/orange, no cloudiness at all. Flavor is a mild one of pumpkin and brown sugar. Flavor has a nice initial tinge of the aroma and then seems to fiz out rather quickly. Tasty for what it is, but nothing I see myself being a regular drinker of.

Nov 29, 2009 This beer was not all I expected it to be. The flavor of spices and pumpkin are definetely there, but they taper off quickly and the flavor that is left is rather bland. The beer is dark amber with a light white head. The foundation of the beer seems to be lacking while the added flavors are good. This makes for a beer that is easily forgettable and slightly disappointing for such a great brewery. The foundation would benefit from a more complex base and some sort of connection between the initial flavor and aroma and what you taste after its gone.

Nov 28, 2009 Shocked how not good this beer was. Opened it on Thanksgiving. Taste of pumpkin pie spices on a bland ale with a squash and hop aftertaste.

Nov 27, 2009 Draught at the Freakin’ Frog. I expected this to be better honestly. Nice spice in the aroma and flavour but the seemed a little thin beyond that. On par with other pumpkin beers but short of something like ST Pumking.

Clear medium to dark amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy pumpkin, cinnamon, cardamom. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091122]

Nov 24, 2009 On tap at O’Briens Pub in San Diego. Color is light copper with lively carbonation and a medium white head. Aroma is light, with your typical holiday spice notes of nutmeg, pumpkin and butterscotch. Pumpkin flavor makes a decent statement up front, then fades quickly with some light nuances of potpourri. Body is thin and a sweet note lingers on the palate. Overall, not too complex and the character fades too fast. Easy to drink.

Nov 23, 2009 Clear golden with a medium off white head. Spicy aroma with pumpkins and malty notes. Spicy flavour with pumkins, cinnamon and malty notes. Spicy finish.
