don’t really notice the raisin or sugar on the nose, just the belgian yeasty aroma of a dubbel. Clear mahogany. Ah, there’s the raisin. Chewy and almost thick, but stops short of taxing. So clean it drinks much to nicely for 8%. The glass is almost empty and I just know this is going to catch up with me. Sweet throughout, great for those misfits who don’t like hops.

Pours a mahogany color with no head. Can’t smell anything in the aroma, maybe because my nose is stuffed up at the moment. Sweet raisin taste, brown sugars and nice maltiness. Very good beer.

Pours a clear ruby red with almost no head and a bit of lace. Aroma is musty and metallic, vague scent of cleaning agent - as it warms, cherry is detectable. Sweet lightly grainy taste, like buttered toast. Cherry throat lozenge and present alcohol, lingering vinous finish. Thin body, light effervescent carbonation. Pleasant tasting beer, lots of depth to it.

Thanks to Fidel for this bottle. Pours deep mahogany with a finger thick cream colored head. The nose is nice and bready malt with dried fruit and molasses. The flavor is quite the same with a creamy mouthfeel Smooth, sweet finish.

A very nice brew. Pours a deep mahogany, with a lasting tan head. Flavors of carmel and fruit, with a rich malting. Belgium type brew in a way, but a little different. Can feel the kick too. Overall a thumbs up.

Upfront tastes of burnt roasted malt backed with some peanut, brown sugar, and caramel. Has moderate hop bitterness with a medium body and a somewhat sweet aftertaste.

Some nice flavors, but fairly weak in general. I was hoping for something more.

Pours a dark orange, light brown. Absolutely no head to speak of. Minimal aroma of brown sugars. Very sweet flavor. Raisin, malt, figs. Light on the pallet. Very carbonated. Prickly on the tongue. Surprisingly good. Not my favorite style, but would enjoy on occasion.
