Bottle. Clear dark brown body with an off white head. Sweet malty nose with fruity undertones. Pleasanttly sweet taste with flavors of malts, dates and caramel. Creamy and fizzy mouthfeel.

Bottle poured into Tulip glass. Poured with dark roasted brown color topped with thick white head. Head dissipated quickly. Aroma was weaker than expected, but had hints of raisins and bread. Taste was sweet, but not too sweet, raisins were suprisingly not overbearing, but finished with a strong alcohol overtone. Not a bad beer, certainly different and worth trying. Was hoping that it would have more of a hoppy flavor.

12 oz bottle. Also bought Raison D Extra by DFH, but I’m saving/aging that. Pours a beautiful dark mahogany color with almost no head (what there was died quickly). Smells of lots of yeast, some (green) raisins, and what I read is beet sugar (kind of smells disgusting though). Tastes of green raisins with yeast, but the yeast aftertaste is very overpowering, and definitely lowers my appreciation of this beer. Goes down fairly smoothly, if you can get past the taste. Unfortunately, the color of the beer was the best part of it.

Raisins. Lots of them. Poured brown with off white head. Aroma of you guessed it raisins. Sweet raisin flavor. Finished wrong.

Bottle. Sweet, malty aroma, thin head. Dark copper brown- brown sugar in color. Very very sweet taste- low carbonation. Sugary sweetness dominates. Strange background of some cinnamon, raisin, smoke. I’m a huge fan of sweet Belgians (the beer type) but this one is too cloying and lacking the complexity of a good dubbel or quad. Not bad, but very 1-dimensional.

(12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Aroma is a caramel and slightly roasted malt. It also has a yeast component in the nose too. I can taste rasion, cinnamon, brown sugar, bourban and roasted malts. Soft carbonation, medium to full bodied, sticky slick texture. Complex beer.
