Laugh if you want, but this tastes almost exactly like a Celebrator Dopplebock. Has a roasted raison character that celebrator doesn’t, but the carmel/malt aroma and the sweet with surprise-hops taste is just like a Celebrator. Try them back to back and then disagree with me. I love them both.

Hazelnut brown; very thin head. Fruity aroma: prunes, maple syrup, dried dates. Potent flavor. Very yeasty taste. Dull dusty bitterness. Sugars, nuts. Not quite cohesive mix of flavors. Overall, not very good, and on top of that, it’s needlessly boozy.

Cloudy brown color with a thin tan head. Taste is very dry yet a little smooth with hints of caramel and toffee and a bitter finish. Aroma of roasted malt and a hint of raisins. Not bad but a little intense. Tastes better after it warms up a little bit.

Pours a beautiful deep mahogany, clear, with a small white head. Aroma is rich with malt, raisin, other dark fruit, and earthy tones. The flavor is beautiful- much like a brown ale, but with more sweet notes. Reminded me some of Rogue’s Hazelnut Brown. Palate is nice, very drinkable, very good beer.

Pours a crystal clear deep reddish amber with a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, white grapes, vanilla extract. Taste is very sweet (lots of grapes and beets from the beet sugar) and slightly sour with some good balancing hops. Great, heavy lacing. 8% alcohol is nicely hidden. Smooth, subtle, and enjoyable.
