Smooth fruity raisin flavor appealing to both taste and smell. A beautiful mahogony color opening with a frothy head and finishing with an alaskan noserub of hops. Great with peanuts.

Dark amber color with a white head and clear body. Nice blend of hop and light fruit flavors; the flavor and alcohol are well-balanced.

Bottle at Chris O’s party shack. V surprised that i actually liked this. Normally dogfish has 2 much alcohol goin on but this is quite well hidden. Good sweet, christmasey dark fruit character with hints of port and candy sugar. Tiny bursts of fruit in every sip. V like!

Medium amber coloured. Clear. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Starts malty and sweet, finish mainly bitter, some yeasty notes too. Perhaps a note of alcohol.

Aroma of raisins and brown sugar. Dark amber color, tiny head. The initial taste seems quite average and straightforward, but after you swallow all these beautiful little tastes phase in and out. Very good--after you swallow.

On draft at Highland Kitchen in Somerville, MA. Excellent beer - I was very impressed by this beer’s flavors. Kind of porter-esque with the raisin and red fruit thing going on, well-masked alcohol, not very carbonated. Rich and complex, I loved it.

Bottle 12 fl.oz. @ chris_o’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008.
Hazy medium red amber color with a virtually none light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, moderate yeasty, acidic - sour. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020808)
