Bottle. Clear, copper/amber pour with little head. Sweet aroma of candi sugar, raisin and spice. Similar flavor with a nice, smooth, viscous mouthfeel.

Thanks for sharing moses! Nice amber brown pour with a foam off white head. Raisins, sugar plums, malty caramel on the nose. Malts a mouthful and a little boozy. Spicy and earth malt finish, rather liked this a good drinker.

Got a growler of this filled at the brew pub. Another great beer from these guys. I’m not real big on the aroma on this one but it’s okay. Smells of sour fruit and funk. The flavor is incredible! Lots of fruit and hop and sour stuff going on. Reminds me of a Belgian but it also has something else. It went great with my meal there and was good on it’s own at home.

Bottle from the Clark Street Ale House in Chicago. Pours a dark brown color with a thin white head. The aroma was mostly roasted notes, and raisins. The taste was full of sweet burnt sugars and malts, some chocolate and a bit of plum. Very nice.

Dark mahogany with a slight purple tint. Smells good but not a strong nose. Tastes of raisins and dark fruits.
