Deep redish coppery color with barely any carbonation. First scent is very winey. Some caramel and raisins noted, but not overpowering. Everything is very smooth and mellow, with just a slight alcohol burn to let you know your drinking a beer, not some crazy concoction from a mad genius’ basement. Very nice. Whoever thought of throwing all that in a recipe is crazy, and it works well. This could be a new staple of mine if it was readily available to me.

As advertised, the bottle poured deep clear mahogany with tan suds. Intense caramelized brown sugar aroma with nice toasty notes as it warms. Syrupy with roasted bitterness and rasiny sweetness. Complexity evolves as it warms. A delicious brew of distinction.

Poured a copper color. Tasted of raisins and plums. No hops to speak of. Smooth of the palate, but lacked a little bit of flavor, and body compared to other belgian strong ales. Very drinkable beer.

Pours a very clear brownish amber with no head. Aroma is of fruits, raisins, and light caramel. A simple taste of toffee and sweet malts. Nice creamy body I like in an ale. The raisons are prevalent throughout the flavor. Could use a little more hops but this is a darn good beer.

Bottle. Pours clear brown orange with minimal head. Yellow on the edges. Aroma is fruit and alcohol with a slight hint of coffee. Flavor is toffee, raisin, with a slight hoppiness. Very smooth with a nice texture. Good, but the flavors arent powerful enough to be great.

Pours clear copper with small head. Aroma primarily of sawdust and caramel. Sweet flavors with residual sugar evident- caramel and citrus. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Very unique, but nothing spectacular.

Pours dark copper color with minimal head. Smells of sweet caramel and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and kind of funky, probably due to the raisins. Smooth drinking with minimal carbonation. It’s OK but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.
