Bottle. 25.4 oz. Split with Sean. Pours a delicious honey melon orange color with a crisp, foamy white head. Aroma of apricot, vanilla, banana, rum, pineapple, hops, and hints of white grapes and clove. Medium bodied with an outrageously creamy, complex, and subtly sweet mouthfeel. Malty, very slightly boozy finish. Outstanding brew from Dogfish Head.

750 mL bottle, Pours a cloudy orange copper with a small frothy white head that diminishes qucikly leaving good sticky lacing. The aroma is fruity malt with yeast, strawberries and orange peel. Medium mouthfeel with a dry tarty malt with a dry bitter finish. Alcohol present but not to overpowering, a good belgian strong ale from Dogfish Head.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of earth, citrus, orange, old wood and dried fruits.. Dark orange hue with an average sized off-white head that mostly diminished and left some lace. Flavor has notes of wood, earth, citrus and dark dried fruits. Palate is medium/full bodied and average carbonation. Overall not a bad brew. Decent showing from Dogfish.

On tap at Capone’s. Pours white with a couple fingers of head. Aroma is of a very sweet wheat beer, almost like banana bread. Mouthfeel is very, very thick and syrupy, kind of anathema to a wheat beer. Taste is of banana, clove, slight alcohol, clove, and some other taste that I couldn’t put my finger on. Overall, it was an interesting beer but for the price, I wouldn’t get it again. I like my wheat beers thick, but refreshing. This one was thick and syrupy. BTW, I couldn’t taste the red wine qualities in this beer and I really like pinot noir.

Interesting brew. It very bubbly like a champagne, The combination of a Wit with the Pino flavors blend very well. I really did like the beer, but I don’t think I could drink more than one in an evening. It is very sweet. For a person who does not like beer, this could be a good beer to try.

I often would drink Pinot Noir at dinner, and find this a nice variation of that practice. The beer is a bit on the sweet side, but the dryness balances it out some. I really enjoy this beer. The only critique I have is that it is a bit on the sweet side, but I am being nit-picky and overall really enjoy this beer.

Nice solid hazy copper pour. Spice notes are present but certainly not overwhelming and are rather subtle and nuanced. Soft fruit and spice notes are quaintly balanced by more rustic touches of homey cinamon and clove. A nice earthy vibe to this brew, with a good madicinal burn. nice

Nice, clear, medium-hued golden amber color, with a slight pinkish tint. Three finger head of thick, frothy, white foam with a slight pink tint. Retention is great. Lacing is thick and clumpy. Smells like you’d expect a nice Belgian brew to smell. Yeasty, citrusy and a touch of wheat. Very nice spicey notes come through. A little sweetness, too. All with a nice floral touch. Citrus fruits smuggled in a floral bouquet. Pears, apples and peaches. Nice level of spiciness. Some candi sugar sweetness, to balance it all out, abit. Raisins, white grapes and hints of black currants. Slight touch of banana. The finish is very smooth. Not too sweet, although there is a touch of sweetness. Not too dry, either. Almost like a wine finish, more so than a beer. This beer is so creamy and yet so smooth, light and easy to drink, also. Probably the closest a beer, for me, has come to feeling like silk. Truly, a highly drinkable brew. Especially a nice spring or autumn day. Which is what it’s like here, today, during the second week of February. (Wow.) Supposedly, this beer has 10%ABV, but I can’t detect it, at all. This fruit-bomb is so damn smooth. To quote Tracy Jordan, "I love it so much, I want to take it behind the junior high and make it pregnant!".
