unusual aroma that borders on being unpleasant; thin head that quickly disappears; the taste is much better than the aroma

Bottle to pint glass. Average head with spare lacing. Lightly cloudy body and amber in color. Average malt and light hop flavors. Light body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. I probably would never buy this myself, but was part of our summer beer swap at work.

(sample) Pours a clear golden color with little head. The taste is a balance of grass citrus hops with pale malt, with the balance leaning on the hop side. Watery texure and soft carbonation. I like it, would probbably make a great session beer.

very "american pale ale" all the way. crisp medium body, crackery-pale malts, aromatic piney-leafy-hops.

Dark golden in color (light amber?), clear, partial lace and permanent single bubble head (poured nearly two fingers). Interesting minute amount barnyard aroma, similar to Duvel. Pale ale malt aroma is stronger than the floral hop. Bittering hop comes across slightly harsh although the malt is still present. This bitterness continues through the aftertaste which comes across as very dry. The carbonation is high. A decent beer that doesn’t stand out in any dramatic way. There are many more complex pale ales available, but this one is pleasant enough in a pinch.

12 oz bottle from Binnys singles rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a bear transparent crisp amber, brodering on dark gold. A lively moderate white head dies quickly to a spotty film, fighting to cling to the edges. Aromas are doughy, bread and pale malts, flowers and floral hops, grass, citrus falling far behind. A touch of sweetness, different, proprietary biscuity DFH feel for their Pale Ales. Initial is fairly light bodied, a bit thin but quite drinkable. Bread, pale malts, biscuits, a touch of caramel and raisin.. Moves into floral hops, grass, earthy hops, very light citrus feel. An easy drinker, but a bit thin. Still, flavor profile is different than the typical citrus APA I’m used to. Overall, florals and doughy flour. Interesting, possibly a revisit as it certainly goes down easy without loading the palate down with hops.

Pours dark orange in color with a thick white rocky head. The aroma is rather sweet from the malt and a there is a hint of citrus from the hops. In regards to pale ales This is a superbly balanced beer, however there is something funky ( I belive it is the hops) about this beer that makes me put it in a lower overall quartile than many of the other APA’s I’ve had.

On tap at Alehouse. Clear orange golden color. Pine and light citrus with a touch of malt in the aroma. Flavor is nice balance of malt and hops. Really a nice balanced pale ale that I am much more impressed with than most of their extreme beers.

Bottle: Poured a orange amber color with a nice white head. The aroma was pine and hops. The flavor was pine, hops, and flowers. Overall, smooth and easy to drink.
