Hazy dark golden to copper color, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy, citrus scent. Sweet, caramel, cream, bitter taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, some glue aftertaste. Rather high bitterness.

Id’ have to say I was a bit excited to find this beer here at a local Total Wine. The pour produces a little head that is white in color and a bit of carbonation is present. The smell is piney with hints of grapefruit and other citrus-like smells. Upon tasting...hmm...well to be honest I was a bit let down. It was bland compared to most Dogfish Head tastes (even the 90 minute seemed to have more flavor then this one) and was a bit boozy at the end. The mouth feel was syrupy which didn’t bother me. Overall Probably one of the few Dogfish Head beers I can honestly say I wasn’t the biggest fan of which is strange coming from a huge fan of Dogfish Head beer.

Small offwhite head, decent retention and lace. Clear copper color. Mild hop nose, citrus, pine, earthy. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation, lightly oily, slick on the palate. Fruity hop flavors up front with notes of citrus and light melon. Caramel malts and a light graininess, lightly sweet and toasty. Lightly sweet malty finish that could of used some bittering hops. Bottles procured @statelineliquors.

Pretty solid IPA with a honey colored body and sticky eggshell head that leaves a ton of lacing. Aroma is bright grapefruit rind, lemon peel, and orange zest. Lots of biscuit, caramel, and brown sugar accompany the hoppiness. Pretty well balanced and tasty. Nice mouthfeel that hangs around in the palate. Good beer.

Bottle at Chris_o’s "smash Kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Massive centennial and amarillo like nose, soo appealing and i just nosed this for a few mins before i even thought about drinking it, taste is remarkably balanced and tasty, very very drinkable with the alc nicely hidden. Absolutly superb beer in every aspect!

Pours a lightly hazed golden color with a sticky white head. Aroma is hops, malt, caramel, toffee. Flavor is caramel, malt, toffee, citrusy hops, very 90min esque but way more balanced with more hop aromas. I liked this one a lot. Good IPA.

2009 Bottle - Pours dark and clear orange with a massive off white head...aroma is carmel and cotton cady, hop florals, grapefruit and orange peel, slight chemical astringency...flavour is sweet and very still, caramel, brown sugar, heavy on hop taste but only light hop bitterness, very subtle alcohol...I know this is past its intended drinking date, but still very tasty and interesting...

THOUGHTS: Yet another Double IPA from DfH, and somehow it was once again very different from the others. It was pretty much an easy-drinking DIPA. Hid alcohol well. Tons of hop flavor and aroma without a lot of hop bitterness. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark orange with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished but left excellent lacing in an almost camouflage pattern. The aroma was light to moderate carmel malt; moderate to heavy floral, resinous and orangey hops and some alcohol when fairly war. The initial flavor was sweet and a little bitter; while the finish was fairly sweet and a little acidic. There was a little caramel, orangey hops, sugar, hints of chocolate and tobacco, bitter resinous hops an a little pine hops. The medium body was oily and a little creamy and then fairly dry with fairly soft, yet slightly tingly hops and a lightly metallic, lightly alcoholic and dry finish.
