Draft @ Rehoboth (Aug): Poured a copper brown with a nice head. The aroma was hops and pine. The flavor was pine, lavender, citrus, hops, and spice. Overall, a well balanced tasty brew.

Cask at DFH Rehoboth on 8/29. Called Whusahht IPA on the draft board.Came out black bodied with a short tan head. Aroma is pure hop madness. Lots of pine, grapefruit, hop resins and citrus oils. I surprisingly didn’t pick up much roastiness in the aroma. Taste is also rather hoppy with light roasted malt being over powered by orange peel, grapefruit juice, pine needles and hop resins. Body is medium to medium-full with an oily slickness and soft carbonation notes. Lingering bitterness throughout. Ends with more soft roasted notes, orange peel, pine needles and grapefruit juice! Very nice!

Draught at the brewpub. Pours dark brwon with a thin tan head. Smells of perfumy hops, pine, some resiny hints, sweet malt. Tastes sweet and resiny with some nice bitterness on the finish.

Draft pours deep brown with a tan creamy head. A nice nutty, chocolate and roast malt aroma. Grassy hop aroma is very faint. Initial taste is loaded with rich malts and coffeelike bitterness. Then a second taste reveals more bitterness. Very east drinking. It comes off like an over the top hippy American brown. But, I like it. Again I do not normally toot the DFH horn, however nice job.

On tap at the brewpub and served in a pint. Dark black with a thin off white creamy head. There was a pleasant aroma of malt and coffee. The taste was very good and mainly of coffee and caramel. I really did not taste the citrus hops and I really had no idea the ABV was 8.5 since it was so smooth going down. All in all it was a very good black IPA

On tap at the Brewpub. Poured jet black with almost no head. Aroma was of sweet malt and strong floral hops. Taste was nice and smooth with lots of citrus hops on the back of the mouth. This was a good one.
