World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Bottle. Pours black with low head. Aroma and taste is highly alcoholic. Lots of coffee and dark chocolate, licorice and notes of spice. Overall quite sour.

Poured a very dark brown with a red tint. Small brownish head. Not too thick. Taste is very sweet with lots of barley. Brown sugar, molasses, cherries, and just the right amount of carbonation. Aftertaste is a little syrupy. Unlike any other stouts I’ve had. Great beer!

Holy cow, this beer is awesome! Yes, I know, I like very dark, strong, sweet stouts...and this is one of the very best. Mentioned to me at a local stout tasting, I had to get some and try it out. Great nose, ever-present alcohol undertone, fuity, chocolatey, and wicked strong. This year’s is a bit weaker than previous @ 15%, but once you get over 10%, it’s all about the craft. Once again, Dogfish Head proves their mettle with incredible control, superb flavor profile, and a nice kick from behind.

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours black with a brown head. Creamy but not exceedingly thick. The nose is overwhelmingly boozy with some chocolate liqueur behind it. The flavor is also very boozy in its initial punch. Creamy chocolate flavors smooth out the finish. Sweet and then a little bitter. Very powerful.

High alcohol and a full frontal assault from sugar and caramel make this beer a bit difficult to make friends with. Heavily spiced and roasted meats or nuts help to cut through some of the sweetness. A creative blend but lacking balance and depth. 3/5 -DM I enjoyed this much more than my counter part. the WOW factor of this beer is a 5...like Wow that’s a lot of Alcohol!...Wow that’s a lot of ______ Fill in the blank. It had alot of everything. -JB

How can I begin? Hella’ good?? I feel no pain after this mother. Sweet like a good port. Dark fruits, Hi. Roasted grains, Helllooo. Smooth at the front and slow and strong at the back, just how I like it...I’m talking about the beer people...

Incredible beer. I’m a big fan of beers that, as soon as they hit your mouth, overwhelm with their flavor while simultaneously smoothing it over with a bit of bite.

Bottle via the Bonster. We really have too many trades to count already. Yeah...18% ain’t no joke... I should not have been on the roof working on the ice dam problem after consuming this...although it did seriously help with the vertigo issue. I mean after the ripe plum stone fruit nose and first taste this sugary elixir just made me sit in the Barko lounger and enjoy a half-assed science fiction thriller and not make too much fun of their dumbed down concept of time travel in order to save the world. Then I got the idea to go up on the roof..... twice. It may have been more useful to have just hit myself on the head repeatedly with the bottle than to actually consume it. No power tools utilized, or common sense either....be careful friends.

Bottle. Very dark pour, small off white head. Pours thick. Nose of dark fruit and alcohol. Wonderful creamy oily texture. Taste of plum and raisin, boozy. Vanilla. Killer stuff.
