| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 9, 2004 A black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of alcohol and raisins almost like brandy. The flavor is sweet caramel with notes of malt, alcohol, apricot, and chocolate. The alcohol runs prickling over the tongue and it has a very strong body. Papsoe (14881), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Dark brown with a vaguee, orange hue - almost no head. Extreme aroma of bourbon and oak. Extremely full body, extremely sweet with lots of raisin notes and other dried fruit. Extremely alcoholic with distinct bourbon notes. The immense alcohol feel puts this a bit off balance. Very subdued bitterness. Still a tremendous beer though. 080707 omhper (12171), Stockholm, Sweden

Black hole black. I guess this is what happens when you're talking this sort of gravity. Calvados-like aroma. Very sweet, very complex and very, very malty. Notes of prunes, pepper and molasses. I think it is not as balanced as the 18% version was. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2007 From 12 oz bottle. Pours dark almost black with no head. Thick roasted malty and strong alcohol note, not so balanced. Minor raisin note. Flavour is thick and heavy roasted malt, chocolate and liqourice but most of all dominated by alcohol. Dry ad dark finish with a slight burning alcohol. Way too much alcohol for my taste. fonefan (11058), VestJylland, Denmark
