A black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of alcohol and raisins almost like brandy. The flavor is sweet caramel with notes of malt, alcohol, apricot, and chocolate. The alcohol runs prickling over the tongue and it has a very strong body.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of JCapriotti. Dark brown with a vaguee, orange hue - almost no head. Extreme aroma of bourbon and oak. Extremely full body, extremely sweet with lots of raisin notes and other dried fruit. Extremely alcoholic with distinct bourbon notes. The immense alcohol feel puts this a bit off balance. Very subdued bitterness. Still a tremendous beer though. 080707

Bottled, thanks hopsrus!!
Black hole black. I guess this is what happens when you're talking this sort of gravity. Calvados-like aroma. Very sweet, very complex and very, very malty. Notes of prunes, pepper and molasses. I think it is not as balanced as the 18% version was.

From 12 oz bottle. Pours dark almost black with no head. Thick roasted malty and strong alcohol note, not so balanced. Minor raisin note. Flavour is thick and heavy roasted malt, chocolate and liqourice but most of all dominated by alcohol. Dry ad dark finish with a slight burning alcohol. Way too much alcohol for my taste.

Bottle 12.fl.oz. [ Vintage 2002 ].
Clear dark black color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, moderate to heavy raisin, dark fruits, plum, prune, port, brown sugar, moderate whisky - alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. What a beer, just love it ;o)) [280908]

Bottled@Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark black colour, small brown head. Aroma is bigtime coffee, hops, chocolate, caramel and some roastedness. Flavour is really much roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, some alcohol and lots of caramel and toffee. Really wellaged and pleasant brew!

Bottle. Black coloured with a small beige head. Aroma of liquorice, alcohol and dried fruits. Sweet flavour of alcohol, liquorice and dried fruits. Tastes more like dessertwine than stout.
