Commercial Description:
This listing encompasses the November, 2003 release for the U.K. and parts of Southern California only (21% abv), and may state "21% abv" on the label, while the printed phrase "Vim and Vigor" does not appear. Bottles purchased in Southern California will show a "Packaged in" mark on the side of the label that does not correspond to a marked year; this is likely the only discernible label difference between this beer and the 2003 18.8% version. "Vim and Vigor" is crossed out only on the November, 2002 release, which is not rated under this listing. World Wide Stout is a very dark beer brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley.

Pours a foamy tan head on a pitch black body. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee and some smoke and chocolate with a heavy tone of alcohol present. Flavor hides the alcohol extremely well, it is there but it is not overwhelming. Actually it hides the alcohol a lot better than WWS 18%! Flavor has notes of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, nut and caramel. A thick and smooth mouthful but not cloying. A really delicious stount and quite different from the 18% version. In my opinion the best and most balanced of the three WWS!

Wow, this is good. Dark fruits are all over the place in this one. Super dark, super flavor. The dog, again, liked ths one. Not overwhelming in the least.

Tried from bottle with Atlanta ratebeer crew at 5 Seasons North tasting. Lots of smokey oxidation of the good kind (no cardboard). Sweet malty. Caramel and molasses flavors abound. Dark color (of course). Mellowed and easy to drink. Delicious. Cocacola like aroma notes. The best WWS I’ve ever had. Excellent.

Pours an opaque black color with a light brown head. Aroma is soy, molasses, brown sugar, chocolate, roast, and just a hint of alcohol. Flavor is thick malty, molasses, caramel, brown sugar, and a sweet molasses finish. Hides the alcohol incredibly well.

12oz bottle. Aroma is of sweet heat. Molasses, roast. Pours very dark brown. foamy white head. Very heavy bodied. Thick and syrupy. Flavor is very sweet. Full of sugars. Tastes of a smooth roastiness. This bottle has aged extremely well.
