Commercial Description:
An overwhelming earthy floral aroma leaps out of the glass and slaps you in the face due to the huge amounts of whole leaf Golding hops used to dry hop the beer. A spicy hop flavor arises from late flavor additions in the kettle and through more whole leaf hop cones in our hop-back. A combination of select specialty barleys imparts a soft, fruity maltiness.

Typical pale, clear IPA appearance. I rather liked the piney IPA aroma. However, the flavor was rather lacking. The malts and hops seemed rather off-balance and the finish was undesirable.

Microbrewed IPA, typical of the style - not much finesse, but doesn’t really call for it. Hops dominate throughout, very quenchng, very tasty.

Pours a cloudy copper color with a medium sized head that rapidly dissipates. Strong fruity hop aroma with some malty smells thrown into the mix. This IPA is big on malts, but the hops do come through with a slight bitterness that lingers. A very tasty IPA.

A cloudy autumn glass of orange
A crown of kingsly white royalty
Sweaty socks blocked by blood-orange clots & thick peach puree
Acid lemon hop resin cascadingly puckerous & demonically bitter...
lacking the curves of a mature body..and somewhat ’1’ dimensional

A nice beer. A little thin in flavor and could use a blast of hops. I will buy it again.

The first one of these I opened, I had to catch the bottle cap as it rebounded off the ceiling. It does pour with large head, and have a "floral aroma". It has an interesting combination of bitternes and sweetness. I nearly had a "Breakdown" of the nervous type when I opened the second one.

Re-Rate 10/14/02: The beer pours a nubilous amber-orange, the head frothy and gargantuan, from fermenting in the bottle. The bottom of the bottle coated in yeast, that gives the last pour into the glass a streak of brown. Earthy, slightly musky, floral, malt, and a delight to ’Sniff’. Front is spicy sweet, top lean, the finish is moderately dry, ruggedly hopped, thinly acidic. Ranks #496 on my current 1000 beer master list.

Poured out of the bottle with a cloudy orange color, thin white head and a huge floral hop nose. Initial sharp spicey/piney flavor but a little thin. I didn’t feel enough backbone to support the hops. I must have tasted the same "1" dimension that DaSilky did.
