Commercial Description:
An overwhelming earthy floral aroma leaps out of the glass and slaps you in the face due to the huge amounts of whole leaf Golding hops used to dry hop the beer. A spicy hop flavor arises from late flavor additions in the kettle and through more whole leaf hop cones in our hop-back. A combination of select specialty barleys imparts a soft, fruity maltiness.

This was one damn good IPA! I wish this was still around. Nice malty flavor and lovely citrusy hops.

clear amber, headless, light floral hop aroma, light malt flayor, good dose of hops, light bitterness, after warming it turns into a wonderful brew full of hop flavor, but light on the bitterness, unique!

Old but at least in the fridge since the purchase. Poured a lsightly hazed copper color with a medium but quickly disolving white head. Aroma of sweet aged malt. Toffee notes and a hint of citrus hops. Tasted of aged caramel malt. A little nutty. Mild hop flavor still present. Semi-dry with a bitter finish.

This beer has been in my cellar for (probably) too long. I can’t read the bb date, but it looks like 5/27/2004. Served from the beer fridge in an english pint glass. Hazy, dark orange/amber color wirh a two fingered off white head and some small particles apparent on the bottom and in the head. The smell is orange blossom honey, tangerine, earthy and mildly spicy. Still smells good. The initial taste is woody, malty, dark caramel, and earthy followed by more herbal earthiness and some spiciness. The finish is the same. Mouthfeel is appropriate to style. I am certainly doing this beer a disservice by having it after so much time, but I suspect the beer would have the same flavor profile a couple years ago that I would only like so much. This seems like more of a traditional english IPA with the pronounced malt and earthy hops, which is not really my cup of tea. Thanks for the trader that sent me this, thought it has been so long I wouldn’t know who it was, maybe Jay?

Cloudy honey colored with a big head and lots of carbonation. Floral hoppy aroma with some citrus and grass. Flavor is mild for an IPA, malts are more noticeable. Nice sour fruit taste, very mellow and easy to drink. Best before date of 10/22/04.

This only releases a small aroma of hops. This beer fills the glass with a cloudy reddish-orange color. Not much to speak about in the head or lacing department. The taste of hops introduces itself first and a hint of grapefruit fades smoothly in. Those tastes turn to the taste one gets when chewing a mouthful of mixed nuts as the beer flows down the throat.

Thanks to HopDog. Pours a slightly hazy lighter orange. Nice off white lacing head. Aroma is orange with some floral. Flavor is slightly sour, some roastiness at the end which was odd for an IPA.

Thanks to hopdog for this... Appears a hazy light gold with a light white cap. Spotty lacing is left behind. Smell is of orange, peach, and nice flowary hops. The taste is of the same aromas slightly tweaked down. Mouthfeel is slightly sweet and bitter but runs nicely along the tongue.
