Pours hazy/murky amber with small particles noticible and a large, frothy, off-white head that mostly diminished but left good lacing. Aroma is light malty of toasty, caramel malts, with moderately strong pine and grapefruit notes and a hint of honey. Flavor is initially sweet and acidic with a bitter hoppy finish. Medium body, mild oily texture with soft carbonation. This beer tasted slightly "stale" is the best way to describe it I guess, somewhat unbalanced needing more of a malt backbone to support the spicy hoppiness. Hoss (602), Florida, USA

Had a hop bite but surprisingly not one that your get with US IPAs. I could drink this but would not seek it out, IPA lovers look elsewhere matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a foggy orange body and a thick creamy head…. Leaves a massive amount of lacing behind as well. Sniff, Sniff… Smells pretty citric, a strange note of Rye as well.. but it’s a good thing! The flavor is very unique for an IPA. Large beady notes of grains and yeasts, the hops have a very musty grapefruit resemblance.. I’m having a very though time describing the characters of this beer… but it’s enjoyable nonetheless.. Very dry grassy finish! ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2004 Large white head. This basically average IPA shows it shit with resionous hop aromas and a wave of sweet, bitter, pine sap like tastes. Enjoyable but in moderation. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2004 Hazy orange-copper body with significant carbonation and a loose sudsy white head. Fresh woody hop and cheese aroma. Dry and hoppy with a juniper berry quality in the flavor. Flavor builds and becomes quite likeable. An enjoyable IPA. Thanks to CaptainCougar for this one.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2004 Apricot colored hazy pale body with an extremely tall off white head that settles down to a collar of bubbles and leaves nice lace going down. Aroma is grassy cascade hops with a twangy yeastiness. Bitterness is very pronounced and up front. Unfortunately the beer is too thin and watery to back the bitterness up with some complexity. Without the solid malty backbone, and creamy/citrus flavors that set the great IPAs apart from the rest, this beer comes off as a mediocre interpretation of the style. An overall nice beer separated at birth from its numerous West Coast brethren. An IPA lite, fit for a hot summer afternoon by the pool side.
