Commercial Description:
An overwhelming earthy floral aroma leaps out of the glass and slaps you in the face due to the huge amounts of whole leaf Golding hops used to dry hop the beer. A spicy hop flavor arises from late flavor additions in the kettle and through more whole leaf hop cones in our hop-back. A combination of select specialty barleys imparts a soft, fruity maltiness.

Bottled, thanks SpringsLicker! Hazy orange small head. Light orangey nose. Sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Really hoppy with salty, bitter finish. Solid.

clear amber, headless, light floral hop aroma, light malt flayor, good dose of hops, light bitterness, after warming it turns into a wonderful brew full of hop flavor, but light on the bitterness, unique!

Bottle acquired in trade with SpringsLicker (thanks!). Best before date of 9/6/04. Poured a medium and hazy golden/amber color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of citrus, peachy, light flowers, a little earthy and very light cardboard. Overall a nice smelling beer. Tastes of light oranges, citrus, and lightly fruity. Light lacing left on the glass. Not bitter at all (attributable to its age).

Copper golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is highly hopped with some sweet caramel malt thrown in. Nice sweet and hoppy body. Reminds me of Sweetwater IPA, but with a little less malt. Peppery hop finish. A decent IPA.

This has a medium-amber hue with a large soapy-looking head. The nose is the requisite hops but with a sour hay note as well. Texture is too thin, with an overall flavor of apple juice taste.

Light crisp amber color with an average sized puffy head and slight lacing sticking down the glass. The aroma is very mild, light hops and sweet malt but nothing much else. The flavor is very balanced with a bitter start from the hops and a sweet malty end. The mouthfeel is more malty, the hops are not too asertive. Overall this seems a little underhopped for an IPA but is still very well balanced and has some clean flavors.

Thanks to goldtwins for this one. This one breaks my Dogwood cherry. The pour is a nice turbid orangish/light copper with a medium, creamy white head. My initial olfactory perceptions show big ground black pepper, hops, roses, citrus, and some fruit. The taste is hoppy, with some floral and spice notes, plus citrus at mid-palate, giving way to a hop/citrus/black peppery finish. The finish is also on the dry side, with some resin and piney notes as it warms. The only other beer I ever had showing this much black pepper in aroma and taste is Sam Adams Boston lager. This one was complex, nicely balanced, and well worth seeking out.
