tasted at darklord day 07. Nice roasty color. Mild smell. Flavor is malty, somewhat sour, roasty, chocolate. Goes down very smooth. Wish I could have tried it when it was fresh.

I had this on tap. Not to bad - nice roasted maltiness and earthy profile. A little on the wattery side though.

Sample from a growler shared by KP @ DLD 4/28. Pours a murky brown color like the Ohio River with no head to speak of. The aroma caramel malt and ligh fruits. The flavor is similar with more caramel malt and citrus. Medium mouthfeel and easy to drink. This beer was retired at the time but was still holding up decently.

Draft from KP’s Cellar Bar. Medium brown color. Off white head. Hints of caramel and nutmeg in aroma. Slightly bitter taste of brown sugar caramel, and spices.

Event: DarkLord Day 2007
Location: Three Floyds Brewing Co. Parking Lot
Serving: Sampled from a growler shared by kp.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: Caramelized sugar.
Appearance: Murky brown with a small fleeting head.
Flavor: Sugary caramel malt and some citrus hops. Maybe a hint of nuts.
Palate: Medium body.
Overall: Pretty sweet, but still quite good. I’m not quite sure how old this beer was since this brewery has been out of business, but it has held up well regardless.

Growler from DLD shared by KP. A light hoppy malty brown ale with and really subtle flavor overall, but pretty drinkable.

Pours a hazy brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is aged malts, come chocolate notes. Flavor is aged malts, some roastyness, and a touch of chocolate in the finish.
