A dark orange appearance with almost no head. The aroma is filled with citrus and has a yeasty scent. The flavor is caramel, apricots, oranges, and alcohol. A somewhat yeasty and dusty presence exists. The aftertaste is somewhat sour. A very well balanced and flavorful beer. And the last glass I will probably ever have, damnit. sloth (1673), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

A little guy tan head greets you and drops out quickly. Lightly hazy, amber/red hued ale. fruity, juicey hop nose, laid back malts, caramelly. Body is full, mouthfeel is oily and a touch sticky. Medium sweet malts up front backed by lots of juicey, spicey hops, caramel malts, citrus, cinnamon, over ripe melons, plums, raisins and a hint of vanilla. Finish is medium sweet, resiny and fruity juicey. Kawa delivered this to me in a trade awhile back. Thanks man! DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 29, 2005 clear copper, no head. aroma of candy, caramel malt, toast and booze. flavours of hard candy, mild notes of mixed tropical fruit, caramel and sweet malt. quit sweet, actually with lots of sugary notes and nothing really balancing them out. not bad. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Cloudy dark apricot, lasting off-white head. Huge fruity nose boasts a large malt base, toffeish and rich with toasted nuances. Vast array of fruit notes, going from apricot to mango, not much alcohol apparence at all, kind of smoky. A bit sweeter than I’d wish perhaps or this would score very high. It is woody, brown sugar packed and might be cloying or hard to drink in any large quantity. Still, superb full body procures creamy soft carbonation. Great beer. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 26, 2005 RBSG ’05 - this was the first beer in the evening that i spent my lottery tickets to obtain, and they were very well spent. aromas of grass, toast, caramel and a little alcohol coming from a clear golden amber body with a nice viscosity and no head at all. flavors were rich and full, caramel malts and grassy hops, a bit of yeast, a bit of alcohol, and a bit of brown sugar. mouthfeel was sooooo smooth, velvety and creamy, everything stuck to the inside of your mouth, but without being cloyingly sweet. it is very unfortunate that this brewery is out of business, as every beer i have from there makes me wish i had more...this was no exception.
