Hand-bottled bomber, thanks after4ever. Pours hazy orange with a lacy beige head. Caramel, nut fig taste. Full body and light carbonation. Dry woody finish.

Bottle at RBSG grand tasting. Thanks to whoever brought it. Pours cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted barley and sweet dried fruits. The flavor was robust with more roasted barley and dark fruits. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was long and dry. Overall: I had no idea this was a retired beer--too bad, these brewers were on the right track.

Bottle shared by Aspidites, pours deep amber with a thin off white head. Rich, sweet nose with dried fruit and sugars added to the sweet maltiness. The flavor was the same with a bit of heat. Creamy on the palate.

Bottle from kp brought to RBSG. Buttery, sweetish. A hint of sour from age. Amber color. Small head. Lots of bitterness. Nice barleywine.

22. Capped. Thanks, Tever! Cloudy medium amber with a very faint gray rim. Still, headless, laceless. Creamy, butterscotchy, caramelly, plenty of dark tree fruit swirling around. Long, nutty, resiny finish.

(bottle thanks for sharing BDR!) Pours muddy brown with little to no head. The aroma is very complex and pleasant with scents of wood, caramel, berries, cheese, light oxidation, and strawberry jam. The taste is also just as complex with flavors of caramel, golden raisins, molasses, and prunes. These sweet flavors then switch to a finish reminiscent of a marshmallow that’s been burnt over a campfire. Medium mouthfeel, and quite enjoyable.

From 22-oz unlabeled bomber, supplied by BDR pours a hazy burnt amber brew with a fast dissolving head that dissipates clean. Aroma of powder caramel malt, some toffee, licorice and a touch of toffee. Taste is slightly chalky, very light carbonation with flavors of tropical fruit, caramel, red licorice and a touch of marshmallow. Finish is semi-sweet, slightly fruity with a nice alcohol warmth.

Unlabeled bomber from BDR. Copper color with a thin head. Caramel malt aroma with light toast. Much of the same in the flavor. Sweet malt. Slight marshmallow finish. Very delicious and a rockin rare treat.
